Mini-Donburis were very cute and jammed with content. Sushi was ok. A very interesting take on the Sushi Taco that I have not seen anywhere else, where they will use a fried seaweed sheet as the shell (where other places might use a fried wonton sheet or something) which results in a bigger taco but it's a bit of a missed opportunity with how they fill it. Other sushi tacos I've had would be completely full of saucy sashimi, meaning every bite is full of flavour, but they would be smaller and aren't as filling so they're usually eaten as starters. Ebisu's taco tries to be the entire meal on it's own, where they will fill the inner half of the taco with rice then the other half with the fish and salad, but because of it's shape, when you hold it horizontally to bite into it, none of the flavours mix properly in a single bite. What I mean is, one bite will be just fish, the next will be just rice. (Also there was way too much rice) I think they should fill the entire taco with sashimi + salad without any rice, as the shell itself serves the role that rice normally would in balancing/normalising all the flavours. And I'd be happy to pay more for it in that case. Or charge the same for a smaller (and better...

I had a fantastic experience at Ebisu sushi cafe It’s such a fun and unique dining concept — watching the fresh sushi plates glide by on the conveyor belt makes the whole meal feel interactive and exciting.

The sushi was fresh, tasty, and beautifully presented. I really enjoyed the variety — from classic salmon and tuna rolls to more creative options. The prices were reasonable too, and it’s easy to keep track of what you’ve had with the plate system.

The staff were friendly and made sure everything was well stocked and clean. I also appreciate that they were quick to take special orders if I didn’t see what I wanted on the belt.

The atmosphere was casual and lively — perfect for a quick lunch or a fun dinner with friends or family.

Highly recommend Ebisu sushi cafe if you love fresh sushi and want a dining experience that’s a bit different...

Ebisu Glenelg is my go-to when I’m craving fresh, flavourful Japanese food. The sushi and sashimi are always spot on – melt-in-your-mouth fresh. The hot dishes are just as impressive, perfectly cooked, and full of flavour. My favourite chicken karaage and volcano roll 🤤🤤

But what truly makes Ebisu special is the people. A huge shout-out to Karen – she is warm, friendly, and incredibly welcoming. From the moment you walk in, she makes you feel like a valued guest, remembering faces and greeting everyone with genuine kindness. Her energy really adds to the relaxed, happy vibe of the place. Other staffs are equally warm and welcoming.

Whether you’re there for a casual lunch, a dinner date, or to celebrate something special, Ebisu delivers – fresh food, great variety, and service that makes you feel at home. 🌊🍣

Highly...

My friend and I came in at about 7:40pm. I’m not going to lie it didn’t look promising. There was only one person visible who was making the food so it’s not really clear whether you wait for someone or just sit down. The sushi train was pretty light and the place is a bit dingy looking BUT TRUST THE PROCESS. The staff were polite and prompt. All the food came out quickly and was DELICIOUS. This is one of my favourite sushi train style restaurants. Highly recommend ! It was also very affordable most plates were a steal at $4.80. There’s a huge menu - so plenty of variety to choose from including nigiri, udon, curry, sukiyaki, sashimi and more. So glad a particular other chain had a line out the door otherwise we never would’ve found this place.

Not so special basic taste and some dishes were flavorless 3 people in our group Softly rolled so the rolls fall apart Pretty average compared to what is around, like port adelaide (great prices and serves) st Clair is fantastic. . Sad considering this is a tourist spot Prices are over the top for what you get on the plates. Desserts were nice and the ice cream was a good portion. (Hence the extra star) Slow service Place wasn't busy at lunchtime on Thursday Won't be going back due to service, portions and price.
