Now days I rarely give 5 stars. I have been wanting to come here for awhile now. Finally get the chance!
Food and drinks: I ordered a carrot cake and an iced Soy Mocha to dine in. The carrot cake was a 3/5 Icing was smooth and velvety, but the cake itself was quite dry and crumbly. Not the moist consistency that makes a 5 star cake. The iced soy mocha was a 4.8/5 Dark roast coffee from CoffeeX, very chocolatey, strong yet smooth flavour. Came with a scoop of icecream. It also had some tiny chololate flakes mixed in. Very generous for size also. One of my top iced mochas in Adelaide so far.
The Vibe: Interior has a modern black decor with a botanical theme. Friendly service from start to finish. Massive open windows, very ventilated and almost feels like you are outdoors. Seating is a bit squishy, but they have made the most of the space. You can see the Glenelg tram regularly passing by.
I was impressed by how many customers know the owner's name. I kept hearing, "Good morning Jackie, the usual Jackie." 🤣👍 Which is a great sign, loyal customers must enjoy your cafe!
Price is pretty standard to most cafes around Adelaide, if anything maybe a little more.
I had an enjoyable experience! Actual rating...
Read moreI love this coffee shop. The food is great. After being an International Cabin Crew for 14 years I have eaten in more coffee shops than I could count. Great coffee, food and atmosphere. They have managed to create little spaces with booths and different types of seating. This gives it a cozy and nice exclusive feel when you sit with friends. I live in the area and have made it a point of going to every coffee shop. So many coffee shops tick one box ie good coffee but not great sweet options or savoury options. Feed has great sweet options and includes gluten free and vegan. I am gluten free and they make the most yummy gluten free toasties with proper big pieces of gluten free bread. Often when cafes do gluten free bread the slices are so small you barely get a sandwich so I appreciated the good quality bread. I like bringing my 2 year old as they have kids toys and books and as a mum you can actually have a sip of coffee and bite of a sandwich while your child is happy with a toy or book. Thank you Feed, we will be back for sure.
( only recommendation is the cushions in some of the booths are a little small and tend to fall off a lot. Maybe some bigger ones would...
Read moreFeed is one of the more seemingly popular places on Jetty Road - it often seems to be busy with people coming in and out . The cafe is a little cramped but they make good use of their space - and it has a nice atmosphere with lots of windows and hanging plants . The coffee is Coffex coffee which my friend recognised and liked - she had an iced coffee and in which they used local Golden North ice cream . There were quite a few gluten free options, which I always appreciate. I had and iced latte and the omelette with mushroom and tomatoes. The filling was cooked almost like a relish - it wasn’t too big but it was full of flavour and quite satisfying. Service was friendly- a lovely lady came to our table and had a chat ; my friend couldn’t decide at once so she made a recommendation on the food . Overall it was a very relaxing experience and I would...
