Real Rolls — Restaurant in Adelaide

Real Rolls left me pretty disappointed when it came to their matcha. While the pricing is fair and the service genuinely good, the drink itself fell flat in almost every way. The colour was pale and milky rather than that deep, vibrant green you’d expect from proper matcha, and the flavour was even weaker — watery, bland, and lacking sweetness, even after asking for sugar. The texture was powdery, and most surprisingly, it carried an odd “fishy” aftertaste that made it unpleasant to drink. I could barely finish it. The drink came out already premixed, leaving the classic gradient of matcha and milk no where to be found — stripping away the visual pleasure of mixing it yourself, one of the most satisfying experience with a matcha. Not sure whether the matcha was just too weak or there wasn’t enough of it, but either way it felt rushed. While the shop was busy, it seemed like the person making the matcha was just going through the motions, with little attention to flavour or presentation, which made the experience feel cheap.

Hearing that others have had good matcha here only highlights the inconsistency, which is just as frustrating as always being bad. At the end of the day, the drink was underwhelming and off-putting. A place I wouldn’t rush back to,...

First things first… if I was rating on the food alone, this would be a 5 star review. I got the signature Bahn Mi of the Viet Philly and my gosh, it is delicious! The bread has a slighter outer layer of crispy ness but it’s still so soft. Not like the over crunchy bread that cuts your mouth haha. The steak is so juicy, tasty, no fat and melt in your mouth goodness. Epic flavours, my mouth is watering now just thinking about it. The vegetable spring rolls are also very yummy and epic size too. And the free Vietnamese iced coffee we got for the August special was delicious as well. Loved all of it!

The service was good; atmosphere was nothing special, I guess what you would expect of a Vietnamese takeout joint. So it was an awesome experience but only reason I didn’t go five stars is probably the slight wait for the food. Maybe 20-25 mins. We were there at about 4:30pm on a Saturday so I get it, but just seemed a bit long and slight bit of confusion about whose meals were ready and when. Maybe being a little picky but hey, that was my experience. I’ll tell you now, it won’t stop me going back again. I’ll definitely be coming back to try some of the other Bahn Mi...

hi, I don't have any issues regarding the food as the rolls here are always fresh and full of flavour but I had an issue with an online order I made. I normally order online since I am on limited time during work time. When I arrived my order wasn't ready and the shop was filled with customers. that was ok. All the orders made after mine, and I had to wait until all the customers were served before mine came out. When I arrived at work to have my lunch I noticed the order was wrong and filled with Tofu - my order was for chicken. As I did'nt have time to return the order I had to eat it and was quite disappointed. I would hope that you can understand that if online orders are made, it's because people have limited time. I would like to continue ordering but not sure if there is any point in ordering online anymore as there wasn't any priority given to the time...
