I did visited Flow Expresso few time during my reason work at Adelaide and I must say, it was an absolute delight from start to finish. The friendly and welcoming staff instantly made me feel at home, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
One of the highlights of my experience was the exceptional coffee. The baristas truly understand their craft, as every cup I tried had a consistently delightful taste. The coffee was not overly bitter but instead offered a smooth and well-balanced flavor that hit just the right notes.
To top it all off, the latte artwork was nothing short of extraordinary. Each cup was adorned with beautiful designs, showcasing the baristas' incredible talent and attention to detail. It was a visual treat that made my coffee experience even more memorable.
Beyond coffee, I was pleasantly surprised by the culinary offerings. The food was not only beautifully cooked but also exquisitely presented. Each dish was carefully crafted with attention to flavors and aesthetics, making it a feast for both the eyes and the palate. The level of care and dedication put into the food was evident, and it truly elevated my overall experience.
In conclusion, The Flow Espresso is a gem among coffee shops. From the warm and friendly staff to the consistently delicious coffee, stunning latte artwork, and beautifully cooked and decorated food, this place is a must-visit for any coffee enthusiast or food lover. I can't wait to return for another...
Read moreIt was a great pleasure to stop and taste here before leaving Adelaide. The coffee were excellent, and we could feel that the barista is passionate about making superb coffee.
The barista also introduced much interesting knowledge about coffee. To make a platinum coffee, every kind of raw materials are cherry-picked. For example, the milk shown in the photo came from a pasture which only has 120 cows and only provide premium milk to certain world-class clients, this not available in the open market. And the chocolate is a special selected kind to perfectly match other elements in the coffee as well.
They recommend that for the taste of coffee itself (rather than chocolate), it would be better to start with Cappuccino or Latte (unfortunately I was a mocha and chocolate lover).
If you are in Sydney, the barista also recommended a similar cafe which is devoted to make world-class coffee - the Q on Harries cafe in Ultimo. But if you ever plan to visit Adelaide, this cafe - Flow Espress Specialty is definitely a must-go for coffee lovers (You might want to go earlier because they have many regular local customers).
Update: revisited in August 2024 after 11 months from my first time here. The coffee is still the top in Australia. I miss the smell and...
Read moreFlow Espresso is what specialty coffee is all about! Coffee, much like wine, is an expression of the original fruit - the variety, the terroir, the processing and the roasting. Thanh has earned his stripes in the coffee world and it really shows. Come in with an open mind, ask Thanh for the competition experience (it will be black coffee, espresso and/or filter) and let him show you what coffee can be. He's a super knowledgable, passionate guy. Guaranteed to be eye-opening for a lot of people!
With that said, you need to keep your expectations in check: Specialty coffee is expensive, especially the higher grade beans. You'll be paying more than you would for a "barista made" coffee at Maccas. Specialty coffee can be challenging, especially if you're used to something that just tastes like chocolate/caramel. Specialty coffee can seem "pretenious", don't take it the wrong way - it's passion about the produce and the craft.
Don't come in here and ask for a coffee full of flavoured syrups, that's not what this place is about and you'll brutally be told to not come back. Rightfully so - this place is about the coffee.
If you love true specialty coffee or just want to dip your toes in and see what it's all about - I highly...
