My family and I used to dine here once or week or more, and our bill was always over $300, but we didn’t mind because we loved the food and drinks. One Sunday evening, we were sitting in one of the booths centre in the restaurant, with a family sitting directly in front of us on the long table in the middle of the restaurant. A woman then started vomiting all into her food, and proceeded to vomit another 4-5 times. We were directly next to their table, so we could hear and smell everything. I felt for the woman, who would have obviously been embarrassed and unwell at the time, but with her sitting there for around half an hour vomiting repeatedly, not one staff member went to the table to see if she was ok. It is usually difficult to get a server’s attention at this restaurant, but we always just thought they were busy and we never made a fuss. We were shocked by not one member of staff intervening and trying to help. The woman’s family ended up helping her the entire time and leaving the restaurant, while my family and I were too disgusted and repulsed to finish our meals. We have not returned and will not...

I was so so looking forward to this fabulous food, but sadly had to walk out. THIS was going to be my 75th birthday dinner.

We decided to go early, as my husband is in his late 80s, and likes to eat early. However age is only a number to us, we travel, have the best of everything and enjoy our lives!.

We arrived (without booking) and asked to sit at a table, only to be told they were all booked at 6:30pm (45 minutes time) So ok. That understood and forgiven, we were sat at the bench.

We waited and waited, noticed 6 teenagers walked in (with no booking we heard) and were promptly seated at one of the tables! What was THAT all about? Is this agism or slack?. . or just business? Nevertheless, we kept waiting, with no service.

Why were we being ignored? We were dressed well, and dont smell.

It was obvious we were ready to order. This was very poor indeed. We will not return. Im sure there are enough people to keep these people in business, but let me suggest something to the owners of this establishment. PLEASE teach your young...

No bang for your buck and its definitely not authentic. I suspect that many of the high praises and 4 star reviews extended to this place involved copious amounts of alcohol being consumed as the food that I had was simply made with not much thought or even taste.

We ordered the Chilli Mango Tuna Roll, the Mixed Tempura Set, Beef bowl and Aburi Salmon Bowl. The roll was not even rolled properly and was destroyed the moment we tried to pick it up or touch it. The tempura set was not good either with the sauce diluted with too much sake in my opinion. The ingredients used however is very fresh. The rice bowls were the worst. Sparse toppings with 90% being the rice and no flavor. Style more than substance. Don't let the photos fool you. May not return unless we are stuck in Norwood and there is absolutely no other choice.

Better sushi elsewhere for sure and its likely amateurs could cook better at home with their own...

I came here with my partner and our expectations were quite high. Unfortunately the venue did not live up to our personal expectations in our opinion. We both compared this venue to sushi planet which was silly of us to do. The venue itself is quite welcoming and cozy, the lighting and the architectural space has been done really well. The food is of average quality if you are ordering from the train, the prices are somewhat reasonable until you open the menu and decide to order something from it. The prices then sky rocket and become completely unreasonable as if they are trying to deter people from ordering from the menu and direct the sales to the train as it’s most likely easier for them. I don’t think I’ll be returning unfortunately, it is a nice little spot but if anyone is looking for advice I’d just suggest going to sushi planet instead as it’s allot more reasonably priced and the food is amazingly fresh.

Don’t get deceived by the 4.7 rating! The place and the food is not authentic Japanese at all, small portions, the food came out looking so lifeless and tasted very below average... definitely over priced for what it is. Not recommended. We ordered the Yuzu duck (dry), tuna tataki (weird flavour combo), Tako-age (soaked in oil), aburi cheese salmon Gunkan (ok), spicy salmon roll ( drenched in oil and very little salmon), chicken meatball skewer( dry at), udon(super salty), other various rolls etc, beef rice bowl (PATHETIC!) such a waste of calories and money, avoid if you can.
