I agree with Michelle Ricci. Today I experienced the same thing. No service without a mask on. Company policy!!!! I had advised the girl I had a medical exemption. She insisted I go outside and order. I certainly went outside, did not order and went elsewhere. I will never return.
I read Zambreros reply to Michelle.. It is absolute garbage. Protecting staff and patrons from what?? Do you actually know the medical science behind it. Let me know give you some medical knowledge and I hope your staff are reading this because in actual fact you are putting them at health risk for wearing the mask.
Using those surgical or material masks get very grotty and they are counter productive because you are breathing out co2 and bacterial particals that get trapped in the mask. It also accumulates condensation of vapor. That then attracts more bacteria and other pathogens that you inhale. Wearing surgical masks for more than 3 hours has never being recommended by the medical profession. Wearing cloth masks is even worse
Are they effective? it's only maximum 30% effective. Also the fact that people are breathing in their own co2 for hours, wearing the masks is actually making them more susceptible to getting sick from other illnesses because your body needs oxygen, pure oxygen! and you want to call it a company policy LOL. Read moreI went in yesterday (9/7/23) for lunch and was blown away by the service i received. i didn’t catch the name of the girl who served me but she had shortish, dark blonde hair and is my favourite person. story is that i was SEVERELY hungover because my parents divorced on saturday night and so i went clubbing to drink my thoughts away. so all i wanted yesterday morning was a good, fat burrito. and let me tell you, this girl PULLED THROUGH. honestly the BEST burrito i have ever had, she knew exactly what she was doing with wrapping it perfectly and everything, i genuinely felt the love going into this burrito. she was friendly and we had a conversation about how good the zambreros rice is. as i ate my burrito in the car, i actually cried a little bit (partly because of the divorce but also because of how good the burrito was… i know i sound dramatic but it just kind of reminded me of the beauty in the small things in this cruel world). hungover or not, i would give 10 stars if i could. i hope that girl gets a raise as i genuinely have not had a better experience at any zambreros...

I’m writing this review while sitting inside the Norwood branch, extremely frustrated. Both Zambrero Norwood and Firle have consistently provided poor service, especially when it comes to online orders through the Zambrero app or Uber Eats.
Every time, they seem to prioritise in-store customers while completely ignoring online pickup orders. Today was no different. I placed an online order scheduled for pickup at 5:38 PM and arrived by 5:30 PM. I informed staff twice about my order, but they didn’t even bother to check or start preparing it.
Meanwhile, a few walk-in customers who arrived 10–15 minutes after me were promptly served, while I kept waiting. The staff – a girl and a boy working at the time – were barely doing anything beyond handling 2–3 in-store orders.
This kind of service is unacceptable and not the first time I’ve experienced it at these locations. Zambrero, what’s going on? They updated the order is ready but now it’s 5:42 and still not...
