Entering from Pulteney Street, you’ll find Mays Dumplings tucked away through the Renaissance Arcade, also accessible from the David Jones arcade entrance.

The eatery oozes Asian street food vibes but with quick meals and packed with flavorful punches! The menu reads like a fast food chain menu so deal sets can be ideal if unsure what to order.

Service was over and above with knowledge of their products. If you’re unsure and indecisive of what to order, recommendations and suggestions from staff are always welcomed, they know their products and the best sellers!

What we devoured this occasion; 🥟Chicken & lemon grass Steamed dumplings 🥟Double Cheeseburger (beef & cheese) Steamed dumplings 🥟Southern Korean Kim Chi steamed dumplings 🥟Beef Leek Dill pan fried dumplings The dumplings fillings were noticeably fresh, juicy and full of real flavours.

For the Chicken wings we sampled the Spicey Mala, Sweet & Spicey, Honey Butter. All were Devine, crunchy and packed with spices.

We had Boneless chicken fillets with Spicey sauce and sides included crunchy Chips, Corn & cheese cup. These made for an elevated side course.

Every was so delicious, definitely Quality and Consistency in every bite!

For the early birds, great coffee is available, matcha as well. So come on by morning brunch or lunch, and afternoon snack, anytime is good for dumplings and coffee.

Thank you David & May for your great hospitality… and for brining Mays Dumplings to Adelaide! Will definitely be back for more...

May's Dumplings is a must go in Adelaide!

Not only they offer a wide selection of absolutely delicious dumplings, but they also have that genuine, heartfelt, welcoming atmosphere that is so rare to find these days.

Our group of friends flew to Adelaide for a week, and when we dumped out bags and went out, hungry and tired, in search of dinner, we were lucky enough to accidentally find May's Dumplings. Dave was absolutely lovely, friendly, and so genuinely welcoming, and we ended up chatting while waiting for food - and that made such a huge difference. It made our day, and set the energy for the rest of the trip, and the dumplings were to die for. We ended up coming as many times as we could in the week we spent in Adelaide.

Absolutely wonderful place with delicious food and lovely people. Can't wait...

The food is amazing, chips and dumplings together! Such a great combination!

I’ve ordered from mays dumplings many times now and each time the service from Dave and May has been such a delight, they make you feel comfortable and welcomed they even remember you if you’re a repeat customer!

All the dumplings are delicious and taste fresh. My personal favourites are the beef leek and dill and the chicken lemongrass.

The chips are unique with Szechwan seasoning and are crunchy on the outside and soft inside EVERY TIME.

The same can be said about their fried chicken, crunchy on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside with a selection of flavours that leave you wanting more.

Looking forward to each visit...

Behind a fast-food-like menu hide two passionate people attempting to deliver the best quality products for their customers. Ingredients are carefully selected and sourced from the Farmer’s Market. In the kitchen, May cooks each dumpling with enthusiasm and love. Steamed or pan-fried, the dumplings are exceptionally good: thin dough, rich garniture, you can distinguish the meat, the herbs and the spices in your mouth. I hunt dumplings all around the world and May’s Dumplings reached my top 3. I highly encourage everybody to support this hidden gem in Adelaide 💎

As a Malaysian who used to study in Adelaide, I'm absolutely thrilled this store is here now! It opened after I left, so I never got to try it until today, returning after two years. The food is incredible! I especially loved the dumplings, original fried chicken, and fries. This was my first time having dumplings paired with fried chicken and fries as a combo, and it was seriously impressive. I loved every bite! You absolutely must try their dumplings with the original fried chicken or fries, paired with a Coke. It's the best combination ever!
