I have been here a couple of times, never had an issues and love the food, but the last time I went with a friend. She got the salad bowl with pork and I got the rice bowl with pork. Unfortunately I was very sick the last time and got food poisoning ( it was the only thing i ate that day) and havnt been back sice A couple of months later 2 of my coworkers went, one had the salad bowl and the other the rice bowl, once again my co-worker with the rice bowl got sick ( alos the only thing she had eaten that day) So as sad as it is we won't be going again as we won't risk it. It's unfortunate as I do really like the food.

Let me add to the response to what the OWNER has replyed

Rice contains a bacteria called bacillus cereus that can survive the cooking process, it begins to grow at room temperature, thus rice needs to be chilled with in 2 hours of cooking as this bacteria can start to grow and cause diahhra and vomiting, keeping it in a rice cook on warm or placing in a bain marie to keep warm can cause this bacteria to grow and thus giving food posining to your custormer

So WITH ALL DUE RESPECT, maybe stop googling your response as i do know what I'm talking about, I have done research in this for my food, health and saftey courses, I have also work in the hospitality industry for 15 years and had my own business in hospitality,

Rice is the number 1 cause of food posining when eating out at places that have rice...

Worst Bahn Mi ever. Cold chicken and pate was very salty. I could eat half of it only and had to throw the roll, fearing food poisioning. Initially good quality rolls were sold but now is not worth eating here.

"Response from the owner Hi Geetika, We sold a heap of bánh mì and salads yesterday, and yours was the only bad review. We have operated since 2012 and never been"...

Reply - You can send survey form to people, the quality has definitely gone bad. Not sure why people are happliy eating cold meat on rolls. I do not need any compensation from you, and do you really think we get very long break for lunch that I would have gone back to show you your roll. I threw the roll half of it as could not eat it. I got 2 rolls, 1 for my colleague, he also gave the same review. I have also worked in food retail industry and I know how these types of stores starts working once get established. Anyways, if you suspect my complaint is wrong, no issues, but I won't be recommending your store from now onwards in my office and other offices. I found it concerning so raised it. And I expected you would atleast observe how your staff is maintaining food temperature. But you are defending and portraying that I ate the complete food and still posting this. Not sure how frequently you get your store compliance...

The dining experience at MISS MAI was deeply disappointing. The presentation of the food left much to be desired - dishes arrived looking unappetizing and haphazardly plated. The visual appeal was sorely lacking.

Unfortunately, the staff's appearance and demeanor only compounded the poor impression. Servers looked unkempt and seemed to pay little attention to their personal grooming or uniforms. Their interactions with diners came across as abrupt and discourteous, lacking the professionalism one would expect in a dining establishment.

The combination of unpleasant food presentation and subpar service created an atmosphere that was far from enjoyable. It's difficult to recommend this restaurant given these significant shortcomings in both cuisine and hospitality.

The prices are probably a bit higher than other Vietnamese places with similar menus, but the portion sizes are generous. My friend said there’s usually a long queue at lunchtime. I ordered a salad bowl with roast pork for $18.5. When I opened the box, it was packed. The meat wasn’t chopped into pieces, but more finely chopped. At first, I wasn’t too impressed, it looked like scraped, but once everything was mixed together, it actually worked really well. You don’t have to bite into big chunks, and the meat is evenly spread throughout the noodles and veggies 👌. The fish sauce looked like it wasn’t much, but it turned out to be just enough. Though if you’re someone who likes a lot of sauce, you might find it a bit lacking. My personal highlight is lots of crushed peanuts and fried shallots. Typing out this little review just made me crave it all over again 😄

I’ve tried this place for banh mi rolls a few times. The bread rolls are fresh and come with pâté, and they use crushed chilies. I’ve had rolls with roast pork, lemongrass chicken, and spicy pork. The roast pork had a decent amount of crackling, and I personally liked the spicy pork for its flavor—it’s also something unique to them. You can choose between white or wholemeal bread, which is another feature I’ve found unique to this place. The only downside I’ve noticed is that the bread rolls are a little smaller compared to those at similar places, and the roast pork can be a bit salty at times. Other than that, it’s a decent spot for a banh mi roll in the city. 👍
