If you like pho as served in traditional Vietnamese eateries since the arrival Vietnamese refugees in the 1970s, you will always be looking for tender, moist and mouth wateringly flavourful streaky beef brisket to go with your pho.
In recent years due to the spike in popularity of Vietnamese street food, the ubiquitous appearance of Banh Mi, Bun bowl and Pho eateries at every street corner has resulted in 2 types of Vietnamese eateries. The contemporary modern type and the traditional type.
Pho SA, like all the other modern Vietnamese eateries, offers beef pho where the beef brisket is 100% lean, and boiled to dry, stringy, insipid tastelessness. Pho, even with a good broth, is not pho without top quality beef on top.
If you like pho like they used to serve it, I would recommend Khangs Noodles, Yen Linh and Pho Minh. All are located in the Vietnamese enclaves where the natives are not satisfied with anything...
Read moreThe worst chicken laksa I've ever experienced! Taste like salty water with a touch of chilli $15 for a serve that wouldn't even touch the sides , nothing but noodles and salt water .as a very experienced soup and broth consumer , this laksa was not made with a base broth , there is no layer of depth to taste . I would describe the taste as a homebrand cuppa soup , not being mean ! Just honest ...I do not like Asian restaurants ,skipping cost and time for the dollar and believing because they are in the city that non Asian people won't notice ! I found only 3 bits of chicken and it did not taste fresh .please see what else , other than salty water I got for $15 bellow ,absolutely noodles and 3 pieces of chicken that I can find ! Don't waste your money here ! Never ever again! Further more , I now have a stomach ache ! Been half hour after the soup , too coincidental . I am...

The broth was very salty and lacking depth of flavour. It gave me a migraine despite drinking plenty of water before and after.
Not enough on the garnish plate, a small handful of bean sprouts and two sprigs of coriander.
Overall, a very poor experience.
Unless Pho SA amends these errors, I will never...
