The best K-food BBQ place we've had so far!
Reservation: We reserved the place online. It's easy and has several options for the time. One day before the day, a reminder will come to your email.
Coming to the place: the place is in the alley, so make sure you saw the pinky neon lights that say, Gogi!
We then met the waiter and said that we were 30 mins early, but our table was already prepared.
Then he prepared everything, statting with serving the side dishes, such as the kimchi, radish, and green onions. He turned on the fire.
We then scanned a barcode and ordered a set menu for two.
They were all so delicious!
Then, perhaps it was the manager, he came to our table, helped us with cutting the food, and then asked us if there was a special occasion. So, yes, it was our wed anniversary!
Then, he congratulated us and said if we would like to drink. I asked for his suggestion but he said he would prepare a special drink for us.
Short story, after some moment, the lights suddenly turned dimmed and then someone brought us a lit sparkler on top of two magnum ice creams.
Then, he also served two glasses of soju, then he added them with shaken cass beer!
소맥! A soju bomb!
He said to deink it in one go, and I did it! Tasted so good!
We paid for our ordered menu around $120, which is a fair price with really good taste and amazing hospitality!!
I guess this is the place if you want to have a casual dinner or celebrate something with your spouse or even with friends or coworkers.

Read moreTo summarise: do not go to the city location. We attended over the weekend. Our reservation was at 6:30 but we received our table closer to 7. Note: no server was hovering or standing next to the table of the couple who were at our apparent designated table. Once we were finally seated there was minimal service as they were apparently short staffed. So we had to fend for ourselves to acquire extra serving ware and basic napkins. After we consumed our rice provided as part of the banquet we ordered extra (how dare we?!). The waiter who was serving us who was in a miserable mood for the entirety of our time, brought it over and advised us that they required our table back as our reservation time was over. We were halfway through our meal and had just ordered more food to accompany meat that we were STILL COOKING ON THE BBQ. I got my phone out of my bag to see what time it was and it was 7:52. To shorten this saga..neither one of the four of us have ever encountered anything like what transpired after this and one of the people is a qualified, very successful chef. The manager was too busy to talk but managed to follow us out the door once we left to ensure that we paid. Cash apparently also is not welcome. I will be calling and waiting for a formal written apology in ruining a very important celebratory dinner. DO NOT GO HERE. Save your time, money and overall wellbeing....
Read moreI'm 60 years and this is only my 2nd time visiting an authentic Korean restaurant. I've often walked past this lovely painted building and wondered what was happening inside. Luckily for me, my friends had made a reservation and asked me to join them. I say luckily, because the atmosphere is really quite unique for such a hidden quiet street in Adelaide. We were greeted by a young lady who seated us and served water and then a young man whos' hair (being 60) I was most envious off, came over and knowing that we we all relative 'newbies' to the Korean dining experience, he began to explain the process of the set menus for particular groups or the al-a-carte options etc. He was polite, and ensured that we all understood the process. Throughout 2 hour visit this young man was so attentive to our needs that you almost forgot that there were other people he was taking care of as well, so Tom (I think that's what you said your name was), you did a GREAT job at making my evening memorable. The owner of the restaurant needs many more like you so that all the patrons will enjoy their dining experience as much as we did. Thank you Plus 82 GoGi and...
