Adelaide’s Korean BBQ Apex — Plus 82 Gogi absolutely nails it. If food could talk, this feed would be yelling, “Oi mate, eat me before someone else does!” Everything here hits like a flavour uppercut — the sizzling pork belly, the tangy kimchi, that perfect fried rice with the golden-sun egg on top. Even the side salad looked so good it nearly winked at me. The crew behind the grill run things like pros — friendly, lightning-fast, and cool as ice even when every table’s smoking like a volcano. It’s the kind of joint where a cave-man meets a cave-woman over the fire, both grunt in approval, then walk out full, glowing, and slightly euphoric. Enter the Caveworm. That’s the moment your inner foodie takes control. No talking, no thinking — just primal instinct guiding chopsticks from sizzling meat to perfect sauce ratios. Every bite feels like evolution in real-time: man, meat, and marinade becoming one. If you reckon you’ve had good Korean BBQ before… nah. This is the real deal. Adelaide, this is your benchmark. 🔥🥢 – Scott & Jess, local legends and full-time flavour hunters

Myself and a group of friends visited in the evening to celebrate a birthday and we all had the most incredible time! The meal was so delicious, I cannot rave about the food enough. The meat, salads, rice, veg are all amazing. It was our first time eating Korean BBQ as the staff were so helpful, polite and attentive. They were also quite the showmen/women with fun and extravagant drink displays throughout the night. They caught wind it was our friends birthday and surprised us with sparklers and icecreams too! We left full and happy, and I'd definitely go back for another special night!

Adelaide's Secret Bulgogi! If you pass by here, you can hardly spot it because it looks like a warehouse. Traditional Korean barbecue and various snacks are provided, and the friendly waiters will even introduce you to traditional Korean culture and eating methods. Don't worry if this is your first time to experience Korean BBQ, with their help you will feel like an expert! Recommend the spicy beef and pork, not too spicy and very tasty! Make sure you visit website to book a table especially on busy weekends and holidays, it's always busy here.

The best K-food BBQ place we've had so far!

Reservation: We reserved the place online. It's easy and has several options for the time. One day before the day, a reminder will come to your email.

Coming to the place: the place is in the alley, so make sure you saw the pinky neon lights that say, Gogi!

We then met the waiter and said that we were 30 mins early, but our table was already prepared.

Then he prepared everything, statting with serving the side dishes, such as the kimchi, radish, and green onions. He turned on the fire.

We then scanned a barcode and ordered a set menu for two.

They were all so delicious!

Then, perhaps it was the manager, he came to our table, helped us with cutting the food, and then asked us if there was a special occasion. So, yes, it was our wed anniversary!

Then, he congratulated us and said if we would like to drink. I asked for his suggestion but he said he would prepare a special drink for us.

Short story, after some moment, the lights suddenly turned dimmed and then someone brought us a lit sparkler on top of two magnum ice creams.

Then, he also served two glasses of soju, then he added them with shaken cass beer!

소맥! A soju bomb!

He said to deink it in one go, and I did it! Tasted so good!

We paid for our ordered menu around $120, which is a fair price with really good taste and amazing hospitality!!

I guess this is the place if you want to have a casual dinner or celebrate something with your spouse or even with friends or coworkers.

Highly...

To summarise: do not go to the city location. We attended over the weekend. Our reservation was at 6:30 but we received our table closer to 7. Note: no server was hovering or standing next to the table of the couple who were at our apparent designated table. Once we were finally seated there was minimal service as they were apparently short staffed. So we had to fend for ourselves to acquire extra serving ware and basic napkins. After we consumed our rice provided as part of the banquet we ordered extra (how dare we?!). The waiter who was serving us who was in a miserable mood for the entirety of our time, brought it over and advised us that they required our table back as our reservation time was over. We were halfway through our meal and had just ordered more food to accompany meat that we were STILL COOKING ON THE BBQ. I got my phone out of my bag to see what time it was and it was 7:52. To shorten this saga..neither one of the four of us have ever encountered anything like what transpired after this and one of the people is a qualified, very successful chef. The manager was too busy to talk but managed to follow us out the door once we left to ensure that we paid. Cash apparently also is not welcome. I will be calling and waiting for a formal written apology in ruining a very important celebratory dinner. DO NOT GO HERE. Save your time, money and overall wellbeing....

I'm 60 years and this is only my 2nd time visiting an authentic Korean restaurant. I've often walked past this lovely painted building and wondered what was happening inside. Luckily for me, my friends had made a reservation and asked me to join them. I say luckily, because the atmosphere is really quite unique for such a hidden quiet street in Adelaide. We were greeted by a young lady who seated us and served water and then a young man whos' hair (being 60) I was most envious off, came over and knowing that we we all relative 'newbies' to the Korean dining experience, he began to explain the process of the set menus for particular groups or the al-a-carte options etc. He was polite, and ensured that we all understood the process. Throughout 2 hour visit this young man was so attentive to our needs that you almost forgot that there were other people he was taking care of as well, so Tom (I think that's what you said your name was), you did a GREAT job at making my evening memorable. The owner of the restaurant needs many more like you so that all the patrons will enjoy their dining experience as much as we did. Thank you Plus 82 GoGi and...
