Didn't really meet my expectation for a place that specialised in noodles. Their ramen is quite average and not as authentic as they advertise. Wouldn't have been too bad if their prices were more reasonable. There's more value ordering ramen at sushi trains but their Karage is good. I had an issue where I received double an item I ordered by mistake. One was not spicy (correct order) and the other was spicy (for a different table) but visually looked the same. I took one plate and a staff member came up to fix the mistake and told me the one I chose by a 50/50 was the spicy one. At this point I had only dipped a single piece of Karage in sauce but hadn't take a bite of any of it. Instead of taking back the other tables order they had taken my order which was untouched and left me with the incorrect one even though I said I ordered the non-spicy one. I had thought about just letting it go because it wasn't a big deal but I considered it shouldn't be difficult to just bring my order back. I had my hand up and made eye contact with two of the staff members who weren't busy and were chilling behind the counter and didn't come over until a few minutes passed. I asked directly if my order could be fixed and he tried to reason that I had "already ate it". The guy begrudgingly fixed my order and I apologised for the inconvenience just for him to ignore me. I don't usually care for service because I go to places to eat but as an overall my first experience here I wouldn't really come...
Read moreMy partner and I got there last night at 8.45, we asked if the kitchen was still operating and they say yes. By the time the food came out it was between 8.50 and 8.55. As soon as we started eating, they opened the door to make the temperature inside unpleasant and push everyone to go. I asked them to shut the door because it is not nice to eat with freezing drafts hitting your stomach and back. We were still eating and we got approached by the waiter telling us that they were closing, so basically we were invited to eat faster. Now... I would have understood if we were just sitting there chatting, and you asked us to leave, but we were eating! If you need to get out of there at 9 sharp, you don't allow people to order at 8.45, and then ask to swallow my food like I'm an animal! That was the worst dining experience I have ever had, my partner and I, both spent the night feeling like vomiting because we ate too fast and, for some time, in the cold. If you want to shut at 9 it's ok, just tell people that you are closed already, because as you have the right to go home, others have the right to enjoy the dinner they pay for! The person who is writing this review is a restaurant manager, not someone who doesn't know anything about hospitality. When I allow someone to sit late where I work, I make sure that I treat them the same as I treat the first customer walking in, if I know that I can't give my best service, I apologise and I tell them that the kitchen is...
Read more2023 - Obviously this business has been sold. The beautiful Menu folders are gone and replaced with a single laminated sheet. The bench seating has been replaced with plastic tables and chairs. The delicious Mango flavoured aloe vera juice is no longer sold here. You now have to order at the counter and pay BEFORE you receive your meal - table service has gone. The serving staff don't speak to you and only one made an attempt to smile at me. Totally disappointed - this venue was a 'traditional visit' for my Son & I, when we came to Adelaide. As my Son said "it got popular Mum so had to change with the people - used to have charm & character, now it's just fast food...and out" Also EFT charge and 10% Sunday charge. My Son ordered a bento box and I had Karrage Chicken with limp lettuce. The tradition has ended 😔
2019 - Delicious bowls of soup based meals, called Ramen. The staff are friendly and offer quick service. There is a good range of appetisers, which are cheaper when you order a main. I had a delicious aloe vera mango juice which was a refreshing change from the food. There is a variety of seating from traditional tables and chairs to bench style with stools. A very filling meal as all soups come with fine noodles. Even when busy you won't wait long to be seated as people eat and leave fairly quickly. Outside seating also available. There is no Wheelchair ♿ access or room for Wheelchair seating. Located at the southern end...
