Me and my husband were very excited to have dinner here, as it has always been one of my favorite restaurants. Unfortunately, this time was very disappointing. We ordered the “Mussel Pot,” but the mussels were clearly not fresh. Properly cooked and fresh mussels should open. However, about 80% of them were unopened. When we pointed this out, the staff took the plate away, but instead of acknowledging the problem, their response was “It has been like that the whole day, not rotten.” This was extremely disappointing customer service. We never asked for the dish to be remade or to avoid paying. All they needed to do was admit the issue and apologize. Instead, we were left feeling dismissed and unsatisfied. His reply was next time we will give you more. 27 of us dined in the private room. The food that the organisers had tried in the restaurant was not what was served to us. We had Bloody Mary oyster shots. Followed by Turkish bread on plates in the centre. Entree was more bread and 1 or 2 pieces of of Salt and Pepper Calamari each with no garden salad. The main course was a 250 gm Scotch Fillet that was thin and mostly over cooked. Dessert was a small Lemon Curd Tart with no berry compote or cream.
