We walked in with high hopes. But as soon as you get there you are faced with everyone sitting too close to each other. The host was not pleasant. The music was too loud and like a cheap disco. It just made everything worse. I think they were trying to make the restaurant a fine dining experience. It's definitely NOT. So there we are sitting to close too everyone & the music up to high. Play some appropriate mood music. Let's look at the menu. To tell you the truth. There is not much on the menu. No specials of the day. Anyone can make pizza!!. Not impressed. The prices are expensive but that is ok if the food is good. Onto ordering. We started with Arancini Balls which were bland. I have had better ones at pubs. Onto the veal scallopini. Not Impressed. The presentation is yuck!. They have not even wiped the plates. You can see the sloppy presentation in photos. The veal was ok. But why is the veal cut into small pieces? The sauce is ok. The mushrooms are old. Average very average. At this point there is no way we are getting dessert. This place has nothing going for it. If you want a really beautiful dining experience for $200- then go somewhere else. Like Ambrosini's Vintner's The Salopian Inn where they have.... Quality food, quality staff, menu's are much better. Atmosphere is fantastic. You also would not be sitting on top of everyone listening to everyone scream because the music is too loud. This place is a real try hard restaurant. You have the location & that's it. Also no byo corkage. Every fine dining restaurant has that option! No authentic chefs of Italian culture. Also why are your staff spraying product outwardly to clean tables. Spray product into the cloth and then wipe the table. Absolutely revolting. Funnier still was when the girl then wiped everything on the floor. Get your act together. Would never go again. Just not good enough. Don't waste your money honestly.

I celebrated Mother’s Day at 400 Gradi at Norwood and it was one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had in a very long time. Not planning ahead, I saw online that there were some remaining spots available after 2:45pm. We walked in as a family of 4 at 2:15pm stating we were happy to wait but asked if something was free. The restaurant was busy but the manager was so calm, kind and reassuring and managed to get us seated at 2:20. Our waiter Carlos was incredible. He showcased all those small touches in hospitality that didn’t go unnoticed. I was also gifted with a glass of Prosecco on arrival which was lovely. He was attentive and elegant in his mannerisms but was not trying to make his service about him, but rather, subtly engaging with all the details of ordering, setting up our meal and topping up drinks so we could enjoy ourselves. The food was absolutely incredible. The pappardelle al ragu del funghi was out of this world and the pizzas spot on. The ambience and vibe was great. After wanting to go here for so long it will now be my regular restaurant if I’m given the task to make booking for friends and family. Loved everything and will be back very soon!

DELIZIOSO.... Came here for wifeys work Xmas shindig and had a blast. Now this could have been attributed to the awesome crew vibes and alcohol, but I'd like to think that the venue played it's part also hahaha. Right off the bat the staff were awesome and accommodating, even allowing us to switch to a more cosy corner table when we arrived. Out waitress was super fun and smiley, catering to every request which included my wifes desire to have her G&T in (as she refers to it), "a pretty glass" 🍸 Starters of a Salumi Board (which boasted the highest quality cured meats), Woodfired garlic and herb focaccia & beautiful freshly shucked oysters, got us off to a cracking start. Our individually ordered mains ranged from perfect Pastas (bolognaise, marinara and GF carbonara), fantastic woodfired pizzas (which had some of the best bases I've had in Adelaide) and a mountain of locally sourced mussels. The only shortfall was we we're having that much fun, our 2hr allotted time elapsed before we had the opportunity to try any dessert. In all 400 Gradi is definitely worth a visit the next time your cruising the parade.

After reading about 40 reviews here, most of which were very good and some not so good we couldn't wait to visit. There were 2 of us and we asked to be seated outside. Nikita the waitress appeared and took our drink orders. We ordered 2 standard margaritas. They came and were very disappointing, very sour, unbalanced between the lime juice, tequila and sugar syrup and not enjoyable at all. I went to the bar and told Nikita this was the case. She kindly offered to remake them in front of me and at this point Rubal entered the picture. I found him very gracious and accomodating and wanting to rectify the situation. Having a wealth of bar tending experience I basically told Nikita how to make a good margarita. And they were delicious and well balanced. My complaint here is that an untrained person was the bar tender who had to read the recipe from a book. Any good bartender would know how to make this drink. I spent 5 minutes inside the restaurant instead of being outside with my husband. Rubal kindly offered to give us the next 2 margaritas free, which we took him up on. I want to thank Rubal for the way he handled the situation. As a starter we ordered the flash fried calamari. Divine! Crisp, delicious and with little riggly tentacles as well. Could not fault it. However for $28 there was not much.

We ordered 2 margerita pizzas and I ordered the double cheese margerita pizza. Well knock me down, the pizza was unbelievably wonderful. Generous cheese and sauce and a wonderful crust. I was in heaven! I have eaten pizza in Naples and this was even better. I enjoyed every slice and so did my partner.

My partner ordered the self saucing chocolate pudding which he said was very moorish and very good.

Apart from the drink experience this restaurant on this day produced the most delicious food imaginable with the pizza being out of this world. I would not hesitate to recommend pizza lovers to go to 400 Gradi and we cannot wait to go back there. Many thanks to the staff who were gracious, professional...

From the moment we walked in until the bitter end, going to 400 Gradi with my boyfriend was nothing short of a nightmare. Let me start with the interior... it was an absolute disaster. The ambiance was as welcoming as a hospital waiting room. Uncomfortable chairs, dim, drab lighting, and a vibe that screamed “we stopped caring 10 years ago.” If you're looking for a place to relax and enjoy a meal, THIS IS NOT IT.

Now, let’s talk about the ridiculous pricing. They had the audacity to charge $12 for COLD, flavourless TABLETOP WATER. You know, water... the thing that falls from the sky for free? Are you actually out of your mind? $12 for water? Do you think I’m some kind of fool? Are we in a 5-star restaurant or are you just scamming people with basic needs?

The service? An absolute joke. We waited forever for someone to take our order, and when they finally did, it was like they’d completely forgotten we were there. I’m not exaggerating when I say we could’ve watched an entire season of a show while waiting for someone to even glance in our direction.

Now, onto the food, which was even worse than I could’ve imagined. The prices were criminal for the portion sizes. We ordered a $40 lasagna... and what did we get? A CRUMB. A single slice, not even big enough to call a proper portion. I’ve seen more food on a McDonald's kids’ meal. And don't even get me started on the pizzas. They were the most pathetic excuses for food I've ever seen. Thin, floppy, and greasy in all the wrong ways. I couldn’t even finish it. The crust was soggy, and the toppings were so sparse I thought I was eating a sad, bread-flavoured napkin.

Honestly, I wouldn’t wish this nightmare on my worst enemy. The entire experience was beyond awful... it was insulting. Super overpriced, ridiculously underwhelming, and a total waste of time and money. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this disaster of...
