A seafood lovers’ must-try. The seafood is really fresh +3⭐️ They have DAOSA NV sparking +1⭐️ The clams with garlic butter on the tapas menu was just delish +1⭐️ The special was a seafood chowder with puff pastry … full of umami +1⭐️ The other special was raw salmon on a little toastie with Japanese mayo and Tasmanian caviar -1⭐️ … just that bit too much mayo that it killed the taste of the salmon and the caviar. The coffin bay oysters with fig and passion fruit was a revelation +1⭐️ The tempura prawns with wasabi mayo was a disappointment even though it is recommended -2⭐️ - the tempura batter was too thick and not light enough like good tempura batters; the wasabi mayo was mayo and too little to almost no wasabi. A good idea that can be fine-tuned. The service was meh. We stated we were sharing and no individual plates were provided so we had to push each dish in front of each other to take turns. It was not easy getting the attention of the staff to order more and to pay the bill. -2⭐️ Otherwise, the experience was good and we will be back to try the mussels. +1⭐️ for a happy seafood experience.

My husband and I got there 10 minutes before the kitchen closed, but that was not a problem for them. Everyone had a smile on their face and was extremely friendly. We ordered 1k of mussels + chips. The mussels were absolutely to die for! Definitely the best we've ever had! We wished we had arrived earlier, so we could have tried a couple more dishes... but we had 4 more days in the city and as we could not stop talking about those mussels, we had to go back... We had mussels again, of course, and we also tried their fish and their prawns. Everything was absolutely amazing, but the mussels were still our #1! Everything is just perfect there: the food, the friendliness of the staff, the atmosphere... it is a shame we live so far away! Best mussels in Australia! And the friendliest staff! We just loved the place!

We went here on a Friday afternoon and it was surprisingly empty but began to fill up as we left. The atmosphere is what drew us in. You’re sitting in the heart of the market with all the hustle and bustle going on around you. Loved it. Service was fantastic. If they’re not busy the owner (?) will strike up a conversation with you and he’s super fun. The food is divine and crafted with such care; made to order. Served fast, too. I wish we had time to try everything — the people next to us had the mussels and they looked like perfection! We had the roasted cauliflower (the only thing I could possibly deduct points from would be this since it didn’t come with a sauce and I felt it needed one) and the fish & chips. Damn, I wish we could’ve tried more. Next time, Adelaide! Next time.

Friday we don't eat meat, we thought we give this place a try. We ordered 2 pints of Coopers beer. One of the beer steins came with a black speck of food inside, when mentioned to the Asian staff, I was told it was a "bubble". I insisted it was dirty, then the Asian staff removed the "black debris" (with a spoon) which can only be food from a previous customer, he went to get another beer, which was also dirty on the outside, but I wiped it off. At this point we should have just got up and left, this is filth! However, I thought give these guys a chance to serve our meal and see how we go, give them a "fair chance", a HUGE mistake, nothing could have prepared us for what came next. While just about to drink the Coopers beer, my friend alerted me to the fact one of the Asian staff turned the meat over with his hands, cut a piece of meat off, and started eating it. At this point 2 of the staff were eating other peoples food (chewing like cows with their mouth open) while they were cooking. WHAT! I have never seen this in my life that a person orders a steak and the staff member turns the meat with their fingers, eats part of it and then serves it up. Then our $54.50 (including beer) meal comes (RIP-OFF of the century)... wait there's more @ $25.00 got us (2) pieces of Koorong Mullet (1 bite and it's gone) 10 potato fries, 2 leaves of lettuce for salad. I left this so-called "food vendor" feeling "violated"! Clearly they do not know food, they know how to be rude, and charge through the teeth, but HYGEINE, and value for money is an unknown concept, as it is not about a pleasant customer experience it's all about the money, and that's a fact. When I kindly told the so-called "Manager" of this "food vendor" that it is UNHYGENIC to touch meat with the fingers while it is cooking and eat it before giving to the customer, the reply was, "the meat was a meal for a staff member"

I had the worst experience ever while my friends and I had food with wine. We visited SiSea this afternoon. I just saw the amount of wine in my glass was noticeably less than others, and I asked the staff who served it because I wondered if the wine's amount was different on the type of wine. However, he said that my glass is the normal amount and the other glasses are the last of each bottle, so they got some more. I simply understood, but he poured some more into my glass anyway and told me "YOU DON'T COME BACK NEXT TIME". When I heard that, I thought he tried a joke; but seriously he repeated them several times like: "Please don't come back." "Next time, only you two girls (pointed at my friends) can come, but not you" "Don't give her the food, just you girls enjoy them" blah blah... Finally, I was getting totally upset. Maybe he didn't like my inquiry, but I never experienced this situation in any restaurants or shops in Australia, and it was very very rude and feel bad. I didn't want to ruin our day, so I just left the place without complaining about anything. but I felt so bad; I even asked my friend to go to the counter instead of me, and after the payment, as expected, he shouted "DON'T COME BACK" loudly on my back. Whatever, I gave them two stars because the foods were okay, but as I respect the staff's wish, I WILL NEVER COME BACK. Hopefully, other people do not have this ridiculous experience in the...

Disappointed overall. I've had this on my to-go list for a while and finally found the opportunity on Wednesday for late lunch. Service by the first person we encountered was below average - not only were my partner and I not acknowledged despite standing at the counter and in front of the staff member, but we also watched other customers get up and leave because there were items on the menu that weren't available. At a place like SiSea, you could reasonably expect that fish and chips (a regular menu item) would be available. You'd also reasonably expect that items on the specials menu would be available - not the case. When we took the chance to seat ourselves, we weren't followed up by the waiter, but we did get attended to by a male waiter and given water. However, no offer of any other drinks, no drinks menu given and no explanation of the menu. My partner and I agree that the food was good, which is why I've given it 4 stars, but the service was poor. Even when I asked about portion size, I was given a vague answer. When I was served the Bug Special, no sides given and definitely not enough food to be an item on it's own - I left hungry but by that time I wasn't about to go and ask for more food as I couldn't justify paying any more money. Damn shame,...
