Real Falafel — Restaurant in Adelaide

Unfortunately I picked a bad time. Don’t go at 9am on the dot on a Wednesday! The market and this joint opens at 9 but anyway. Waited ages for my coffee with staff milling around unpacking stock. Food arrived and looked great, see photos, but was disappointing. Bland and meh. Now I’ve had a LOT of baked egg variations, not usually vegetarian and that may be the issue, and these were not even in my top 20.

When I tried to pay the EFT machine wasn't online so in the end the waiter had to give up. He was fine about it. He is now harrasing me and threatening to post an illegal video he took of me yesterday when he was chasing me through the market screaming obscenities...

Wow! I ordered the breakfast falafel bowl with added vine leaves. Strangely, they were hesitant in providing the breakfast bowl because it wasn't breakfast but all the ingredients are the same as they use for the other meals, there was nothing special, like eggs etc. The chef seemed slightly put out because of this, no idea why? Anyway, the food speaks for itself, it tastes healthy, it feels healthy and it's brimming with flavour! The store is in the fantastic Adelaide Central Market, so you can get some fresh produce shopping in after a great meal. It won't have you feeling overly full or bloated. This place used to be fantastic but since the new management took over I have had terrible experience.

1. 10 for 10 Falafel- I have got 9 and when I informed visiting them after few days. The ugly recommendation was You should have counted when we gave you the take away.

2. I ordered Shak Shuka for a Saturday breakfast and I got served the left over side cuts of pita along. Lol!

3. I came back today and got cold Falafel packed and handed over. When I went back the same guy with very blunt attitude was at it again - You should tell us that you want hot Falafels.

Wow! So I buy the food and also have to tell them to not serve the stale food!?!
