We had a horrible experience for all you can eat at night. 1. A staff brought us to our table and never explain how to all you can eat works what sort of dishes we can order or what would be cost extra. 2. Missing order. 3. Foot doesn’t taste fresh, the tempura prawn is 95% batter + 5% prawn. We ordered two serves and they give us at least 8 pieces(??). 4. Not clearing empty dishes when passing by (while the staff is hands-free). 5. Desserts are included in the all you can eat price but they were stated with an extra cost on the iPad, if we didn’t check with the staff we wouldn’t be able to know that desserts are actually included… 6. Tastes worse than our last visit… beef tartare was blend and dry, the chasiu ramen tastes tom yum strangely, the soft shell crab is the worst we have ever tried - full of batter and tasted like frying in oil that was used for many times. Doesn’t have appetite for it at all and doesn’t even take a photo, which I usually do when having the food I like. 7. Worst thing!!!!!!! - Our little boy and my mum at her 50s, slipped over on the floor because the staff mop the floor before customers leave, and leave NO caution slippery when wet sign!!!

Luncheon at O’Conner Street, North Adelaide, Mugen Sushi Train was visited is sensational. Amazing! The most amazing dish needs to be raged on is so called “Scallop Salad”. It actually is the trim of the rim of the Scallop meat. It still has its crunchiness plus the pickled Chive shoots in a tasty Japanese dressing, thumb up! The other dish that need to mention is the “Soft Shell Crab Roll”, the well seasoned and freshness, it just hits my sense. I had to have an anchor for the second one. The only downfall for this experience is the Crumbed Oyster, it was a bit oily. Personal opinion, should do it as a Tempura style for it cooked in Sesame oil (traditional style) instead. The price range is between $3.5 to $4 for each selection. Extremely reasonable prices with a huge variety. All the ingredients are freshly produced. Extremely generous with their Wasabi and Pickled Ginger condiments in an easy excess location. Elsewhere, you will find that you have to pay for them or will have to ask for them uncomfortably. Yes, 100% recommend! No

Beef takaki was frozen. Tuna had been discoloured after prolonged freezing, tasted like fishy leather. Poke Bowl was not authentic at all, with a misleading image on the menu displaying avacado and vegetables. However the poke bowl which came out had defrosted frozen veggies from Woolies, and salmon which was off. Though the sushi plates here are relatively cheaper, the total $40 meal I just couldn't justify. Service was terrible, as we were dismissed by a waiter which went and served another table as she was writing the bill up for us. I think the place has potential if it emphasised fresher ingredients and the authenticity of each dish.

During a recent visit with my friends, our experience at this place left us somewhat unimpressed with the service. The Sushi train failed to fill at the desired pace, prompting us to place additional orders to expedite our meal selection.

Fortunately, the ordered dishes were promptly delivered and proved to be delicious. However, our seating arrangement near a pile of boxes did not provide an ideal view and we recommend its removal from the restaurant area.

Overall, while we had a positive experience at this sushi place and did not regret our visit, there is certainly room for improvement, particularly in terms of service and seating...
