The manager on duty spoke to us so distastefully this morning when we chose to park in their carpark as we were attending an event at civic park for a brief time before we went back for a coffee/milkshake/lunch etc. he threatened to tow us. When I explained that i'll be dining there shortly and he will lose a customer if he refuses me to park there he did not care and was extremely rude. I live extremely local to this place and rave to all my hospitality friends but after the customer service I recieved now... myself, my family and friends definitely will not be returning!
If I could rate lower then a 1 I would. I've tried speaking to them and they delete my comments and don't respond. Do yourself a favor and go eat across the street at Tea tree plaza where you are treated right and with respect.
Response to Nick:
It was funny that I was selected amongst many other mums and targeted. My partner was just dropping me and his son across the creek and returning for a coffee whilst he awaited our return to have some lunch and no matter how many times we tried explaining that to you. You threatened us not only once but twice and the funny thing is it was a completely empty carpark. Your Facebook page posts about attending events and dont forget to come to us before or after... where do you suggest people park if they attend the event but also want food? The lack of respect and the way you spoke to my partner and myself and doing so infront of my 4year old was disgusting and from reading quite a few reviews it seems that you do it frequently... you are building quite a reputation for it. I hope to God that pickled duck keep you on as Adelaide hospitality is a very small community and word is out about the poor managerial skills that you Nick King provide to your once loyal customers. Zitto across the street at tea tree plaza offer almost the same menu but with a friendly service so guess who now gets all the customers even with poor parking space. Goodluck on your career. You definitely need some...
Read moreI booked over three weeks ago for 15 people and 1 small child with a high chair. I was told by the person who took the booking they would try to place us all together by putting the tables together. At no time during my booking or on another occasion when I telephoned was I asked if I wanted to be seated inside or out. When we arrived I was advised we were to be seated outside. When we directed to our seating it contained a bar table and bar stools. I requested if it was possible for us to be moved. I was advised this was the only table available. I asked for the high chair. Unfortunately the high chair was only half way up the bar table and the young child would be unable to see his Mother or the other guests. I did ask if we could be moved a a lower table and was informed that was not possible because there were no other lower tables available. When the Mother and child arrived she also was unhappy with the seating. She also requested a move to another table which also was declined by staff. Five people on each side of the table is too many. one guest had to move away from the table to eat. I do not blame the staff who attended to us today. They were doing the best to be helpful. I would suggest that Management train their staff who take the bookings to check if the patrons would like to be seated inside or out and also, if they had objections to be seated at bar tables and stools. No apology by Management was made today. I will not be returning nor would I recommend a visit the the...
Read morewent to the Pickled DUCK. After 7 minutes or so the rest of the table had their food and we did not. They had nearly finished eating. So I went up to the counter and asked about the food. The kind lady said she was getting it, which I informed her I would like to speak to the manager about a full or partial refund.
She directed me to the manager who I asked for a full or partial refund. His response was- we are just getting it now for you. I responded with I would like a partial or full refund.
He then replied with there was a mistake with the machine and that is why it did not come out. I asked him- how is that my problem, my family has finished eating their food and I am waiting.
He then went on to say he cannot give me a refund as if he did he can not give me my food. SO I asked- I paid full price to have my meal arrive late did I??
He finished with- well we can give you some free drinks then.
I was really annoyed because he never apologised and took no ownership. He was also slightly dismissive and rude I thought as he was not really listening.
I would have had no issue if straight away he said- really sorry, machine broke, we apologise. You can have some drinks on the house.
If I did not push this would have never been offered.
The waiter did come out with the food eventually and ask if we wanted some drinks but we do not drink alcohol so did not take up this 'offer'.
Pretty annoyed and I could not find an email address as I would want to know if I...
