Hello,

I called and booked for my wife's birthday on the 6th September 2024 for 5pm.i asked if they do the song and cake for birthdays still (as we haven't been there for a birthday since they said they stopped doing it for COVID reasons back in 2022) and they said “we do but depends on how much staff we have at the time. i cant say yes we will or no we wont”. Her words exactly! Then she added to say “ yeah, i can even just do it myself if you like on my own if we don’t have enough staff” her words again.

I only book and come to this place for that birthday song, which is APPARANTLY what TGIF does and always has done.

After we finished our meal, i said to what looked like the manager ‘NICOLE’ “hi, can we do the birthday song and cake now please?” To which she responds “unfortunately we are VERY under staffed as you can see……..sorry mate!” so i asked “Maybe we can do it when it quietens down later on?” to which she repeated the same answer but then added “but i can bring you a piece of cake if you like?” to which i left the conversation in silence with great dissapointment for our 2nd attempt of the birthday song request.

So after about an hour my mum decided to ask for it again, considering it was a lot more quiet than before (this is from initially asking at 7:30pm to then my mum asking again at 8:30pm) this NICOLE manager says to my mum “I’ll go back and check with the boss” to then……… NEVER coming back with an answer to weather it was still possible or not. They left us waiting for another 30 mins with our kids who were really looking forward and begging for it from our table. To as we decided we were sick of waiting and decided to leave. (Which Im sure was their plan all along.)

After payment of bill at the counter, NICOLE (manager) processed our payment (who was the one i spoke with on the phone AND asked politely for the birthday song for dinner) and didn’t apologise!…………didn’t say “I’m Sorry about that” ……….NOTHING!!! She chose not to bring up the topic at all!

We left there without singing Happy Birthday to my wife as a result from it all. I relied on the birthday song from you for the 2nd time and was VERY dissapointed!!!

I don’t think il be attempting this a...

Me and my family came here for dinner last night for my mums birthday and the experience wasnt the best.

When we were seated the waitress nat came over to get our drink order so my mum asked for a coffee and was told the machine isnt working and hasnt been for 2 months my mum then said what about an iced coffee and nat said "its not working" in a rude way, so we just told her to not worry about drinks and she walked away. My mum was thinking surely they would have instant coffee to make a iced coffee obviously not.

When ordering you can download the app and order from the table, we were pleased as its easy to order online straight from the phone to table and if we wanted to order more after we can, were not constantly pestering a waitress.

My sister and i were scrolling the menu on the app and before you can pay you need the table number, there was no number on the table then 2 seconds later the waitress nat comes over and asked us if we were ready to order. i said can i order on the app? She then advises that there phasing out ordering on the app you can but soon you wont be able too, i made a face like bummer as i mentioned ordering on the app is better, i then go okay we will still order on the app whats the table number, she goes "i was just about to tell you" in a rude way she tells us the number then walks away and slams the tablet down. Me and the fam just looked at eachother a bit in shock it made us feel uncomfortable like she was pissed off because she couldn't take our order.

I dont understand the big deal with wanting to order on the app you dont have to worry about splitting the bill, pestering the waitress if you want to order more, dont have to worry if they didnt quite hear that you wanted something taken off your meal like no bacon etc and sometimes you dont want human interaction.

I get that people have bad days, however you need to either put a poker face on or call in sick its not fair to be rude to people that did nothing wrong.

On a good note bianca brought out our meals and she was lovely so nice and pleasant, the best part of the dining experience was the food and having...

Been here a few times and always received great friendly service and the food has always been pretty good but have found the chicken is always abit dry and by the sounds of it we are not the first to have this complaint judging by other reviews, just stay with me because paying customers might want to hear this. Anyway one day I actually decided to complain and the response we received was we apologise and we will follow up with the chef and they give a few drinks on the house BLAH BLAH BLAH YADDAH YADDAH YADDAH. Anyway we still went back as we thought the food was pretty good, we went back for lunch on new years eve and yet again had the same issue of dry chicken, just so happened where I sat was directly looking into the kitchen at the grill and I just sat there paying attention to the cook at the grill and I couldn't believe what I saw with my own eyes. It was about 1-130 in the afternoon and lunch service was pretty much coming to an end and they started filling up the grill with chicken breast about 4 times over. I reckon they cooked up about 100 chicken breast in 45 minutes and the restaurant was empty. They then started cooking beef ribs and salmon on the same grill and they weren't even separated. The salmon was right next to the ribs, the ribs were right next to the chicken and the chicken was right next to the salmon. My only guess is they are pre cooking the meat then reheating it when on order which is probably why it's always so dry. I also had a piece of salmon with a Mexican salad bowl and the salmon was as dry as a chux sponge. If my hunch is correct I'd expect this from a lunch bar maybe but from a restaurant charging $30-$40 for a main course, cmon guys lift your game. We possibly would have come back again until I witnessed this😡😠. It will be interesting to see if I get a response from the manager. I have left a photo I was lucky enough to get for the review readers to make up...

🔥 TGIF BBQ Friday Feast – Worth Every Bite! 🔥 Last Friday, we tried the Unlimited BBQ at TGIF for just $35 per person (sharing for 2, 90 minutes), and it was an absolute feast! The place was packed — mostly families and groups of friends — a clear sign that this spot is doing something right. The atmosphere was buzzing, and the service? Top-notch. We shared 4 rounds of BBQ plates, and each one came with a fresh batch of crispy, golden chips (they’re dangerously good — pace yourself!). ✨ Highlights: • Chicken tenders – perfectly crispy and juicy, made even better with 4 kinds of dipping sauces. • Brisket – 10/10, especially the fatty cuts. Rich, tender, and full of flavor. 🥪 The pulled pork was on the milder side for us, but worked well when tossed into a soft bun with coleslaw and sauces — more of a build-your-own BBQ slider moment. And of course, don’t skip the drinks — they round out the whole experience perfectly. Special shoutout to Josh for taking such great care of us — always checking in and making sure we weren’t leaving the place anything less than totally satisfied. Service like that makes all the difference! Definitely recommending TGIF BBQ Fridays to all our friends. We’ll be back for round five next time. 😋🔥

Rocked up hungry and walked out in a food coma. This place absolutely delivered. We went in hard and ordered cheese and bacon potatoes, sticky pork belly bites, wings, and a full rack of ribs with chips and slaw. The cheese and bacon potatoes were next level, loaded with melted cheese, crispy bacon, and that signature glaze that soaks right in. Pork belly was sticky, sweet, and rich, exactly how you want it. Wings had the perfect balance of smoky heat and tangy glaze. The ribs were the highlight, big slab cooked so tender the meat just slid straight off the bone. Chips were golden, crunchy, and perfect for mopping up extra sauce. Even the slaw hit the spot and gave that fresh crunch to break up the richness. Service was quick and friendly, food came out hot, and drinks stayed cold. The booth was comfortable and it had that busy but fun vibe that makes it easy to relax and settle in. For what you get, the value is spot on and the portion sizes are huge. This is a proper Adelaide feed. A big flavour hit, big plates, and no messing around. If you want ribs, wings, or a full table spread that will leave you stuffed and happy, this is the spot. Five stars from me and already planning to come back. Caveman and Cavewomen approve!
