The Robin Hood Hotel — Restaurant in Adelaide

Lovely venue but the management needs work. Wanted to order the Gisa sparkling white but told they were out of stock and the same response when my friend wanted the moscato. When I asked how they could be out of stock was told it was because of the change to nice weather. A well run bar should anticipate usage and stock accordingly. When my table went to order food (we had a table of 12) we were told that we couldn't order separately at the food order till and were directed to the bar till - when i mentioned this to the bar staff girl taking our orders she looked confused and told me there was no reason they couldn't have taken our orders at the other till. Three of us who ordered pizza (standard from menu) waited over forty minutes for them while others at our table had long since been served and finished eating - we had all ordered one after the other at the same time. Four out of the five pizzas ordered were burnt around the edges and the schnitzel was also overcooked. One friend ordered coffee and after waiting over twenty minutes went to enquire re progress with the coffee arriving shortly after. This is the first time I've been here in over 20 years. Food was really good & didn't have a huge wait time, even ordering 3 steak dishes. We booked a table for the 1/1/21 & this is full table service. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of our waiter. There were 4 of us & the other other dish ordered was the whiting. My friend asked for grilled & please don't put the chips with it because I won't be able to eat them. He then asked her, do you want the whiting battered? Of course she said no, I already asked you for grilled! When her meal came out it had chips on the plate. Obviously he was either new, forgetful or didn't listen. My friend ordered a margarita but he bought back a martini. When she ordered the same drink for the second time, I asked if we could have a bottle of water as well, he bought the drink over but didn't bring over the bottle of water. So I waited for about 5 minutes thinking he was coming back with it but didn't. So I had to go up to the bar myself. His drink proportions with glasses of wine, were all over the place...

The service we had tonight at dinner from Daisy and Bec was possibly the worst we have ever experienced at a restaurant. Daisy in particular looked as though she would rather be elsewhere having needles inserted in her eyes!! She had no manners or personality and certainly no intention of trying to please our table of six people. Everything was too much trouble and was topped off by producing our expensive bottle of red wine that was so hot it felt as if it had been left outside in the 36 degree heat!! She thought this was normal and had the temerity to tell us the bottle had been in the cool room which was incredulous and insulting. Even her manager was complicit and did not apologise for the poor wine service. I suggest Daisy change jobs and find work where dealing with people is not required as she is wholly unsuited to customer service.
