WORST EXPERIENCE BY FAR!
Disclaimer: This review is only about their rude and disrespectful manner, not about their food.
I was working as a Uber Eats driver and arrived the store on a busy night. I was verbally abused by 2 older ladies, I believe one of them is the business owner.
I had 3 orders that came in bulk, but they only gave me 1 of the orders and asked me to cancel the rest. They said I'd have to wait 20-30 mins. I stated I understand they're busy and I'm happy to wait. I refused to cancel the rest because I would only get $5 for a half-an-hour job, which is totally not fair for me.
Then the 2 older ladies started verbally abuse me. They yelled at me saying I was rude and not doing my job, which is wrong, since I was speaking calmly and I was doing the job properly.
They then threatened me that they would report me to Uber and I would lose my job (and they actually did report me). They're extremely rude and disrespectful to UberEats drivers.
I said I wouldn't cancel it. I stepped back and kept waiting at the store. After that, 1 of the other staffs came to check what orders I have been waiting for. I actually had all the orders ready within 10 minutes, not 20-30 minutes as they said when they tried to force me to cancel the orders.
A young lady apologised me for her colleagues attitudes earlier, and asked me if I was okay when she handed the orders to me. One of the older ladies saw that and requested the young staff stop being nice to me!? I sincerely hope the business owner will not give the young lady any trouble for doing the right thing.
I definitely don't think this review is going to change the way they run the business and treat people, consider how they've replied to other negative reviews over the years. I just hope you customers reconsider before deciding to support this kind of business.
// To the business owner: Please feel free to correct me by replying to this review if there's any of what I'm saying...
Read moreOrdered 2x identical chicken AB packs with Tsazkiki (which was just chicken, chips and tsaziki). We waited 50 minutes, standing around in store, waiting patiently as the person behind the counter would berate the Uber drivers and lose orders. The kitchen was obviously struggling to keep up, and we saw the owner sitting out the front, shaking his head at the line up, but then NOT helping in the kitchen. Some police officers arrived, looking for a feed, and he quietly turned them away because of the backup of orders (we found them next door, meal finished, by the time we were walking out with ours, having already been served in a timely manner). The person behind the counter serving customers had 5 Uber drivers waiting, and they were getting flustered with the lost orders and pressure mounting. They rudely asked the Uber driver who it was for, and with the driver struggling to say the name correctly, she grabs the phone from his hand and says "You're not pronouncing it right". 20 minutes later, the same Uber driver says "Give me [customer name] order" and she berates him in front of everyone for not saying "please", after just berating him about his English skills. Meanwhile, her unwanted lesson on manners took more and more time when we are all waiting on this store to hurry up in the first place. An hour later of very quietly standing around waiting, the owner decides to step up and help out with the bagging, taking a good whole minute and a half just to put two containers in a bag, fold the bag, staple it, pick up the phone and answer that (at closing time) and then hand us our food with some lacklustre apology and no offer of a discount or extras. I would say this was abnormal, but this has happened every single time I have been there. Long waits, kitchen chaos, disorganisation, very poor customer service, and...
Read moreWe recently ordered from this Greek spot via Uber Eats and had a bit of a rocky start. The menu on Uber was really confusing and didn’t match the in-store menu at all, which made it hard to navigate and figure out what we were actually ordering. Eventually, we managed to get through it and placed an order for a chicken yiros with chips (no tomato or onion) and a chicken yiros plate with salad, plus an extra pork skewer.
When the food arrived, the delivery was done by someone on a bike, which already had us worried about how hot the food would be. And unfortunately, when we opened the bag, the order was completely wrong. I called the store and could hear they were absolutely slammed. The first suggestion was to take it up with Uber—which, yes, would probably get us a refund—but after spending $70, we really just wanted our proper meal.
The owner jumped on the phone and was clearly upset at the situation and her staff, but also very understanding. Being in business myself, I get that things happen, and I also know how damaging too many refund claims can be for small businesses.
Instead of going through Uber, we decided to drive down and pick up a fresh order ourselves. When we arrived, the staff were incredibly apologetic and clearly cared about making things right. They threw in so many extras that we ended up with enough food for days!
They definitely turned a frustrating experience into a positive one. The food was fresh, tasty, and well worth the wait in the end. I’d go back again—but probably order...
