Vietloca — Restaurant in Adelaide

I myself work in the hospitality industry and I must say that I was incredibly impressed with their service. The waitress that served me was attentive and kind by asking whether I liked the Bahn Mi, I told her that I usually prefer extra cucumber with mine and she immediately brought freshly cut cucumber to satisfy my taste buds. The Bahn Mi was DELECIOUS, there was a lot of meat and the buns were toasted which I believe makes or breaks a Bahn Mi. I was pleasantly surprised with their vegetarian spring roll that was packed with so much flavor!!

As it is a new cafe, I believe that it is paramount to promote these little things as well as asking for customer opinions. The staff were eager to hear my thoughts on their dishes which I respected. I was delighted to try a sample of their 'orange, lemon grass and peach tea', I found it to be the PERFECT palate cleanser. 'Vietloca' is in PRIME location, it being a 2 minute walk from Rundle Mall. The male waiter service attitude was really terrible. I went there for lunch this noon and I ordered a pho . The waiter spilled soup on my leg when the pho was coming up. what i surprised is that this waiter immediately grabbed some facial tissues to wipe the soup that was spilled on the table instead of apologizing to me or giving me tissues to wipe the soup that was spilled on my legs.And when he finished wipe the table he wiped the soup on my legs but actually he touched my legs !!!How could he touch my leg？？？And then I saw he went back to the kitchen grabbed disposable cloth and he came back to our table wipe the floor (the soup was also spilled on the floor)and then he used same chux wipe the table again after wipe the floor！Excusme？？？what is he doing？Is he mad? and he still did NOT say any "sorry" to me. And we talk to the manager the whole thing but manager only explained to us, "he is a new staff!" Not very apologetic.He said he can doing the free meal for the next time but I just want say I won't come back anymore. I really wanna give it a zero star...

This restaurant has become my most favorite restaurant in Adelaide CBD and I usually visit it at least 2 times per week.

My favorite dishes are Crispy Pork Rice / Bun Bowl, Chargrilled Chicken Rice / Bun Bowl, Beef Rice Bowl and Beef Combination Noodle Soup etc. They are so delicious, in good portion size and reasonably priced. To be honest, I really don't mind coming here for lunch every day.

I don't like having bread for lunch, but I knew their Vietnamese Pork / Chicken Rolls were very popular too. Maybe next time I can try their Vietnamese Pork Roll or Steam Bun Combo Deal (3 different meats for $15), as they both looked...
