I had an unfortunate experience with the lady who worked at the pay counter tonight, Thursday, 31 October 2024.
After ordering my food, I was paying via Apple Pay, but it wasn’t working properly, so I needed to type in my passcode multiple times. While focused on my phone to resolve the issue, the lady at the counter raised her voice at me, apparently displeased that I wasn’t making eye contact. I found it surprising—and frankly disappointing—that she felt entitled to show such impatience when all I was doing was trying to pay.
After I managed to pay, she insulted me in Cantonese, calling me "dumb" loudly and directly next to me. Unfortunately for her, she didn’t realise I understand and speak fluent Cantonese.
Wanting to handle this properly, I waited until other customers had left the pay count and approached her to give feedback privately, hoping to be constructive. I spoke calmly and with a smile, aiming to help her see the situation from the customer’s perspective. However, rather than accepting the feedback professionally, she responded by rolling her eyes as I finished talking.
In the spirit of giving the benefit of the doubt, I approached her in good faith. Yet she failed to meet even the most basic standards of respect and courtesy. If someone working in customer service can’t embody the basics of polite interaction, they should at least practice basic human manners.
This experience provided a valuable teaching moment for my young daughter (who unfortunately had to witness the whole thing) on how not to...
Read moreDidn't dine or order from this restaraunt and in light of "service" received today highly unlikely that i ever will.
Today(28/06/2024) parcel of food was left on doorstep of my elderly neighbour and she visited me to enquire whether I was the intended recipient (I am not).
Ascertained that had been delivered by Uber Eats originating from Warong Marion. Trying to work out which of our neighbours would be going hungry we decidedto contact the restaraunt. She contacted and spoke with a male who couldn't understand the concept that had been delivered to wrong address and repeatedly told her that she had the wrong number and "this is a restaunt" before hanging up on her mid sentence (and the customer service award goes to!!!). I then rang back and sndwered by female and after I'd explained the complex delivery to wrong address scenario, she told me that she couldn't hear me over background noise (on her end) she then placed d phone down and connected to take customer orders and seating arrangements. At this point I gave up.
Expect that right now one of our neighbours is feeling hungry and possibly entering the bewildering world of Warong...
Read moreI hate putting bad reviews. But I have to say that the standard of food has dropped - this is one out of 2 halal places to eat at Marion Shopping Centre and it was very very dissapointing. We ordered dry fish ball noodles - apparently the default comes with thin rice noodles….this is completely wrong! Any Malaysians, Singaporeans or even Indonesians can confirm that fishball noodles comes with dry flat egg noodles or thin egg noodles. I was hungry and was looking forward to eating a proper fishball noodles but was very disappointed. When I asked the staff they just said this is how it is. And said that I should have informed them to change the noodles. Okay……
Please, if you’re offering halal Nusantara food, the least you can do is provide authentic food. This is very very very disappointing. Warong used to be so good, but the standard of food and service is just very...
