Zambrero — Restaurant in Adelaide

Not one to leave negative reviews, but if no feedback is given, nothing can change. Modbury's been my regular store for years now but over the past few months, the quality of my order's has decreased substantially. Staff are cold, I get they might not enjoy their jobs, but the customer service borders on rude. Ingredients are often low and staff get frustrated when needed to go get more. The quality of the actual food has been subpar too. Regular bowls are being made with the same amount as a small one, very skimpy on ingredients and it doesn't reflect the price point of what we're paying. I did mention something in store last time and was met with "well you can pay extra for more then". The person in line next to me actually brought his daughter's order in because she'd paid the price of a regular bowl for a scoop of rice and chicken and was told he could pay more if he wanted to change anything. I used to have 5 stars for this branch, but changing to 1 star now. On 11pm closing days i have been there 3 times around 1010pm and everytime i go there they are always out of beans, guac or other things and flat out say these things aren't available now. 1st time i let it go, 2nd time i was annoyed and 3rd time i am upset now. I mean its still 50 min to closing time and it seems like staff already start packing up and stop preparing toppings and if they run out then bad luck. I always have a veggie burrito and always miss out on most of those topping but still pay the normal price. And tonight they were out of Guac and beans again and they offered me cauliflower that i hate btw, but they still charged me more because i had Cauliflower one because they were out of beans. Come on guys i would understand if it is 15min to closing but Alamost an hr is too long to be packing up already. I had like another 6...

We are regular customer of Zambrero Modbury. However, recently diagnosed with celiac, I was heart broken as thought would never be able to eat at zambrero due to cross contamination. However, went in couple of weeks ago and met one of their staff Esthel who was on shift that evening. I explained her my allergy and asked if she could open new beans and rice packet to add in my gluten free burrito to avoid cross contamination. She was kind enough to agree and made complete gluten free burrito without any cross contamination. She even used seperate spoons for all fillings to ensure my allergy requirements were met and the food was safe for me to consume. 5 star for Esthel and the service she provided. She made my day and I was almost in happy tears knowing I will not have to miss out on my comfort food due to recently diagnosed celiac!! Looking forward to being regular...
