WOW! Is this the best McDonald’s in Australia? We think it is. We do a lot of travelling and have visited many McDonald’s stores - nothing compares. We were supposed to be just passing through Alice Springs but instead we stayed for more than a week. This was all due to the awesome welcoming, friendly and efficient service we received at McDonald’s Alice Springs together with the delicious, hot fresh food and smooth, creamy, aromatic coffee that we thoroughly enjoyed - the best coffee we’ve ever had anywhere. Kathleen, the People Performance Manager, is just amazing. She always happily greeted us and other customers upon entering the store. And what a difference that makes. Kathleen and the entire crew should be congratulated on their efforts. The Store Manager was also really nice. Honestly, we couldn’t keep away from the place. We love this McDonald’s store. They all work really hard - a fast paced very busy store without compromise. It is no wonder they are so so busy - everything is just perfect. It’s all go go go and they have such a methodical team system happening - it’s very impressive. And we’ve never seen a McDonald’s ‘drive through’ queued to this lengthy extent. Now that says it all. It’s certainly an indication of how good this store is. OMG this is unbelievable. Impeccable service, great tasting food, flavoursome coffee. But there’s more. Squeaky clean store throughout with tables/chairs, floor and toilets all immaculate. The crew even treated us to some unexpected fine table service. What more could you ask for? We have to say that they made us feel very special at McDonald’s Alice Springs and although we are from Victoria, we just cannot wait to return to this particular store. Our thanks go out to the entire crew. May you all be commended and rewarded for your enthusiasm and pleasantries in giving customers just that little bit extra - we really appreciate it. All in all an exceptionally great...
Read morePrompt drive thru service, extremely un-equip to deal with what should have been and usually is at other locations, a minor issue regarding fine print technically with advertising of current coke cup promo and family boxed big Macs. Felt petty and embarrassed by lack of managerial ability and lack of English language speaking knowledge for that particular role, and with a full crew of seemingly capable staff in the prep and time efficiency department, whom sadly also have (I assume ) the same, very minimal exposure time and ability with our extremely hard to learn language. I am not at all referencing race/ethnicity but simply commenting that while the did the food side pretty well to a better standard and faster pace then most locations, having no one on staff that was either a veteran of English as an additional language or a person with English as a 1st language, available when needed, In a town teaming with thick Aussie accents of both native and British decent, left me feeling like I either had to choose to lose out on cheap merch that was essentially the reason for my menu item selection, or be made to look like a pety, argumentative, uneducated, cheapskate while standing my ground in an extremely polite and just manner, all due to the good old " I not understand why you not just accept that even though it says your intittled to it, we have never honored them in that way or been questioned and pursued to rectify that we dont and to stop you asking i will now switch to the age old, i dont speak your launguage qell enough to interact further so i will just make this 'quizical/ hidden mockery face and repeat something to the tune of, i dont undwrstand your launguage at this particular time or when it suites me to be less then towards my customers'. Maybe a local or 2 could be thrown into the roster mix to ensure higher standards of customer relations can...
Read moreI am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received at your drive-thru on December 30th, around 9:50 PM.
I attempted to place an order from the right-hand lane of the drive-thru. When I asked to substitute the chips in my burger set with a salad, the male staff member firmly said that it was not possible. I explained that I had made this substitution several times before without issue, but he continued to insist that it couldn’t be done.
What made the experience worse was that, before I even finished placing my order, the staff member abruptly told me to proceed to payment. This left me with no choice but to drive around and return to the drive-thru to place my order again.
I believe this situation reflects a lack of proper training and understanding of your service policies among the staff. I urge you to review this incident and provide your employees with adequate training to ensure consistency and professionalism in...
