Loved it. Exquisite restuarant. Clean and classy. Made me ditch my usual restaurant test of medium rare steak to chicken crespelles that tantalised my palate! It was heaven. I am very suspect of new foods, I braved it with heaven like rewards. It did serve me well to deviate from steaks. I love my beef. This chicken wat wat was fatto con perfezione! We started off with hot chocolate, it was also a cut above the hot chocs that I have tested in town. Top it off with a marshmallow yum!. . We also ordered an entree size pasta..yoh. it was a bowl that was big enough to be a main meal...so we split it into two smaller bowls and we still have a big feel each from one entree order..not to forget that it was spiced just right too. The fresh herbs sprinkled on top was a tocco classico! The potato chips serving that came with the crespelles was good and the chips were very fresh. The crespelles also came with a garden salad that was also fresh and good size portion. My friend had a pork involtini that was also made to perfezione. Hmmm.. we really did enjoy the meal. I jus had to order a dessert to go with this and I had an affogato with Baileys! Oh yes. It went down well too. All downed with a fresh cruiser vodka & a Jack and Coke for my friend. This use to be one of my favorite places to dine until we had a party of 6 people for dinner. As we were getting our meals set on the table, a child from the next table threw a sweater over onto my friends wife's plate and obviously right into the food. It was disgusting as it happened right in front of the waitress. After my friend asked to take it away and replace it, the manager says "that is not the restaurants fault so the establishment will be replace with a fresh plate of food for free". To me, technically, she's right! But with the owner or manager (I'm not sure if that's was the owner) handling it this way it put a really bad taste in our mouth for this place. Could the restaurant charge the other table to pay for our party's food since they had an uncontrollable child? Could the restaurant have bitten the bullet in order for customer satisfaction and good vibes? I'm not sure, what do you think? How would you feel and do if you saw that the establishment so selfishly did not step in to help in other ways at all for client relations for future business just for a restaurant food cost loss of one plate? Yes, Sporties serve great food. Yes, Sporties staffs are wonderful. Yes, it is not much variety of choices in Alice Springs to go to. Yes, most people in the area are not here for long term. But there are people like us who are here for long term and the people that this happened to is staying here for a minimum of 4 years and this happened approximately June of...

I ordered Bruschetta and it was appalling and not what I expected Bruschet It was on a single piece of Turkish bread toasted, with chopped tomato, SATURATED IN SWEET CHILLI SAUCE and balsamic vinaigrette for show. No BASIL or flavor. All I could taste was SWEET CHILLI SAUCE also the FETTA cheese was like the cheapest FETTA because there was no after taste. in the menu it did not specify the Ingredients and the waiter went to go on and inform us the chef has been doing this for over 20years. Has no one ever said anything? How are you meant to improve the menu. YThat was the entress. Did I eat it still, yes because I was hungry.

Now the Main Course. I had the Alforno in Fettuccine and my friend had the Spaghetti dish. It was very underwhelming and in the menu overrated. Because I could not taste the ingredients. The portion was right on point, more pasta then ingredients, so the ratio was out of portion. This isn't here to criticize the restaurant however to improve the chef quality and to stick to the original ingredients in a dish then go outside of what people expect. Or should I lowery standards because I'm in Central Australia. I highly doubt this is the case.
