LOCATION: It is not that easy to find the bar. No signs at the outside on the Church Street. However once you follow the navigation. You will figure out easily where it is. 3/5 STARS
MENU: Easy to read, easy to understand. Great cocktails especially if you go in the happy hour between 5pm-6pm. There is only pizzas for food, including dessert pizzas. However they make great pizzas definetly worth to dine in while there. 5/5 STARS
SERVICE: I liked that you actually can pay AFTER you eat. That makes it a lot more convenient if you order multiple things and pay once! Quick service, a polite lady serviced my drinks at the bar. 5/5 STARS
ATHMOSPHERE: You have plenty of tables and chairs in and out. It has a good patio with wooden tables and chairs. At the dinner time I saw decent people mix of families, older and young groups. You have several 6 people tables, 10 people tables and 2 people tables set outside. But can be arranged larger to bigger groups. 5/5 STARS
FOOD & DRINK TASTE: Lambert pizza was delicios, perfectly cooked crispy thin pizza base without any burns top or bottoms of the pizza. Ingerints were at satisfying level. Tried two cocktails, Fallen Angel was wonderful comes in a tall glass. Lady Marmalade was also tastey, comes in a shorter glass. 5/5 STARS
OVERALL: This is a very decent place to eat great pizzas and drink delicious cocktails while socialising at a pleasent venue. I recommend this place to...
Read moreWe had been here before when visiting Bathurst and knew the food would be good. Our experience last night was awful. We had finished eating and after clearing our plates a staff member came over with the cutlery container we had been using at our table to ask if the dental retainer in the bottom was ours. Well no- and our initial response was that the situation was generally disgusting. She walked off and when she came past a short time later we again expressed our disgust that we had used the cutlery and napkins that had been sitting on top of something that had come out of someone’s mouth. Her only response was that it was the cutlery handles that would have touched it and not the parts going onto food. She also told us that the cutlery container had been cleaned out in the afternoon. No further comment from her and she walked off. No one approached us to apologize for this situation. My husband spoke to a staff member (who identified herself as the manager) at the bar who argued with him and downplayed the situation. There was no offer of any resolution to our expressed disgust. This could have been dealt with so quickly if someone had come to apologise and speak to us immediately and not tried to minimize by telling us which parts of cutlery had been contaminated. The whole situation was vile and...
Read moreI was very keen to try this place after seeing recommendations for it on various websites. You enter via a cute little courtyard (which we didn’t quite get to enjoy as it was rainy that day) and sat ourselves down at an empty table inside the church - there’s not really a front desk or anyone at the door to greet you which was a little unexpected as the entrance was more like a side door.
We ordered and paid at the bar where the staff was friendly and efficient, and the food arrived reasonably quickly. We ordered 2 pizzas - the Russell and the Brilliant. Loved the Russell! Both pizzas came with a thin crust.
The poached egg on the Russell had an oozing yolk, you could taste the truffle oil throughout and all the flavours absolutely complemented each other. I’d totally go back for that!
The Brilliant, compared to the Russell, wasn’t so brilliant but that was my personal taste. It tasted like what is promised on the menu - five-spiced duck and the sweet soy drizzle was a nice touch (although I could it could have done with a touch more of it). But I think I liked the Russell too much to properly enjoy this one - I’m also not used to having duck on my pizza. Thought this might have converted me but...
