From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and cosy atmosphere that instantly made me feel comfortable.
The highlight of my visit was definitely the food. The barramundi I ordered was cooked to perfection, with a delicate flavour that simply melted in my mouth. It was evident that the ingredients were fresh, and the dish was prepared with great care. Additionally, the GF burger I tried was fantastic, although I would recommend asking for it toasted next time to add a bit of crunch to the experience. The variety of gluten-free options on the menu was impressive, and it was a pleasant surprise to discover they also offered GF beer. As someone with dietary restrictions, this was a definite win for me.
The overall ambiance of The Victoria Bathurst added to the enjoyment of my visit. The pub had a welcoming vibe, it was perfect for an family and the staff were friendly and attentive. Whether you're looking for a cozy spot to enjoy a meal or a place to relax and have a few drinks with friends, this pub ticks...
Read moreI stayed at The Victoria Bathurst from Thursday 14th to Sunday 17th and was very pleased with the experience.
The room was very clean and while both the room and bed were on the smaller side, they were cosy and comfortable – really, what more do you need? The heater/air conditioning worked perfectly, which was a lifesaver during some very cold days. I also appreciated the common tea and coffee amenities, which added a nice touch.
The shared bathrooms were immaculate – honestly some of the cleanest I’ve seen. Towels were refreshed daily, and bins emptied daily as well. The staff member I dealt with (a lovely lady, though I didn’t catch her name) was friendly, helpful, and welcoming.
The only downside was a group of drunk guests being very loud in the hallway late at night, which did disturb sleep for myself and others. Not really the hotel’s fault, as you can’t reason with people in that state, but worth noting.
Overall, I had a great stay and would...
Read moreI had pleasant stay at victoria hotel bathurst. The shared bathrooms are clean, compared to other pub/hotel type accommodation that i stayed before. Rooms are also clean and well maintained. I had a bit of allergies from the carpets, but overall it was a great stay.
The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. The pub opens at 12pm and i can order food till 8.45pm. I cant gain entry to the hotel until 12pm so be mindful if you are requesting early check in. Eventhough it’s on top of a pub, i barely hear traffic nor noise from downstairs.
The location is very convenient as it sat just across the train station. Walking distance to railway museum, and about 20 mins walk to ben chifley house and fossil museum.
Definitely recommended stay and would return again in the future. Not recommended for disabled patrons. Didnt see any elevator. Access to hotel is by...
