On the way to Orange, we stopped to grab lunch in Bathurst. Google said there was a good cafe across the road, but when we got there it was busy and full. We looked around and saw this pub so came in from the cold. The menu looked appealing and other customers portion sizes were very generous. So we ordered the chicken schnitzel (like who wouldn't). One of us had the bacon and egg topping, with veges and mash, another was plain schnitty with veges and mash, and one salad and chips. The food was okay, not cheap, but it took them over 45 minutes to deliver. They must've gone to the butchers or supermarket to get more supplies. Staff were friendly, but there wasn't much urgency. Not a bad place to stop if you are happy to kill time.

So we decided to head out for a lunch date on a Thursday in Bathurst! We went in to the Tattersall's Hotel and were greeted with big smile and a warm welcome. The place looks great, had a nice feel! Andrew, Sarah and their staff were lovely, the food was insanely good, we had the Chefs Special Rub Eye and GF Salt and Pepper Squid. They had a great local wine list too! We're looking forward to heading back again soon. Cheers 🍷

Had lunch here, best pub feed I’ve had in a very long time. Service was impeccable, the outdoor area was very relaxing and the owner was extremely accomodating

Been here on Saturday at 6pm to 9pm, tasted 5 different cocktails, sat inside and outside, here is my experience:

BEST's

-PARKING Plenty of free car parking outside.

-LOUNGE Has variety of style of seating arrangements including armchairs, bistro chairs even a sofa! Good for individuals, couples or groups .

-HAPPY HOUR Great to have saturday $9 cocktails! Literally just walked in here ONLY FOR THIS!

-PHONE INFO Clear communication and good information by the staff over the phone.

-GOOD GESTURE FROM A STAFF? I like a staff has cared about their patrons by asking how their drinks are.

-NO RESERVATION REQUIRED I like that you can just walk in on Saturday.

-TASTE OF FRESH LIME MOJITO COCKTAIL Done very well.

-TASTE OF TOBLERONE COCKTAIL Tasted well.

AVARAGE's

-TASTE OF ESPRESSO MARTINI Had an avarage taste, could be better.

WEAK's

TASTE OF PEACH LONG ISLAND TEA COCKTAIL Well it just felt like a coke with ice, could be much better.

TASTE OF MANGO DAQUIRI COCKTAIL Tasted like there is no taste, could be much better.

FRESH AIR Only 1 fan for a huge space, which clearly does not air the space. Needs an Aircondition..

MUSIC Very tiny music, when it mixed with the noise of crowd it felt like another little noise.

MENU There is no physcial menu, you will have to stand up, go and read it from a hand written wall.

-FIRST REACTION BY TWO STAFF Well I would expect a bit of smiley face instead of shockingly looking at my face when I approach to counter and ask for a menu.

WORST's

BARE HANDS ON TOBLERONE NUTS (HYGIENE :( ) Staff used their BARE hands when putting nuts on toblerone cocktail just after handling cash ewww. I HAD TO THROW THE NUTS OUT WITH A STRAW. Although ot tasted well , was an UNHYGIENIC service.

----OVERALL----

It is an OK venue to visit on Saturdays between 6pm to 9pm. I have had a few cocktails however I have not tasted the food on this visit.

Although there is clearly a room for improvement, I would still go there again to taste the food too.

I would recommend this place only for: its LONG HAPPY HOUR.

Please note that all above are my personal experiences. You may have a lot more different experience than what I had.

Been here before but was very disappointing. I am being generous with my stars cause my son's enjoyed their meal. We don't go our very often cause it's so expensive to eat out and I'm a single mother. My meal was terrible first of I was charged extra to have vegetables and extra to have sauce on my steak my steak was disgusting I asked for medium to well it was red not pink red it was rare and my rump was very fatty I wasted my money. The chef might have been having a bad day but I won't be back because I'm not getting charged extra for vegetables and...
