Betty's Burgers — Restaurant in Brisbane City

I've had great experiences at the Newstead and Byron Bay locations, but the Bulimba store is a complete let down.

My friend and I ordered takeaway at the front counter on a Thursday night and it was completely dead quiet in the store (there was 1 table dining in total). My friend got her meal about 5 minutes after she placed her order which was great, but we ended up waiting a further 25 minutes for my order, by that time my friend's food had gone completely cold. We ordered only within a few minutes of each other, so I can't understand how our orders were so far apart from each other? Especially when there was only one table dining in at the time, who already had their food...and it seemed as though they had all the Uber/Online orders food ready to go, as they were all sitting on the counter in front of me waiting to be picked up. The kitchen staff also did not seem busy or have any sense of urgency. Not once was an apology given for the wait, nor were we given any updates on why we were still waiting, even though 2 of the workers kept looking over at me and my friend, very clearly wondering what it was I was waiting on. When my food was eventually given to me, there was still no apology for such an obvious gap in between being given our meals.

All I ordered was a burger and chips, and I added on a mushroom/cheese patty to my order but I asked for it to be separate to the burger as I didn't want it on the burger. So not only did it take ages for my food to be ready, but they got my order wrong, the bun was completely cold and stale which made it ultimately inedible, and the lettuce was also mostly rotten/brown.

I understand things go wrong and I am very forgiving if the staff are getting smashed, but for there to be zero communication and then for the quality of the food to be completely crap, it's very disappointing and a total...

I’m 67 years old, and I can honestly say Betty’s Burgers brought me to the brink of tears in the best way. One bite of that juicy burger and I thought, “Where has this been all my life?” The flavour hit me like a wave of nostalgia and joy rolled into one bun.

But the food wasn’t the only thing that made my day. Leuwin one of the friendliest people I’ve met in years went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. I walked in hungry and walked out grinning, convinced that the world is still full of kind souls. At one point, I even thought Leuwin was about to ask me out to dinner, and let me tell you, I wouldn’t have said no.

I had my first experience at Betty’s Burgers today, and wow, I’m blown away! The burger was unbelievably fresh and juicy—definitely one of the best I’ve had in a long time. The patty was cooked to perfection, and the bun was soft yet sturdy enough to hold everything together highly rate . But what really made the meal was the French fries—crispy, seasoned. And i covered them in Betty’s sauce! It’s a game changer. I found myself dipping everything in it!

Huge shoutout to Mitchell and the team for their outstanding service. They were all so friendly and made the experience feel extra special. It's clear they genuinely care about the quality of the food and the customer experience. 10/10, I’ll definitely be back for more! Can finally say goodbye to grilled,
