RACIST STAFF. PEOPLE OF COLOR NOT WELCOME HERE. Encountering racism at the café today was disheartening. Despite arriving at the store on Saturday, August 26th, around 9:55 am, with the simple intention of enjoying a medium mocha and a donut, the message I received was loud and clear: "People of color not welcome here." Standing in the non-existent queue, I observed as the waitress diligently served a family ahead of me, then without a second glance, ushered another family who arrived after me to place their order. Even as more groups formed around me, I remained invisible for about 20 minutes, while approximately 5-6 individuals were joyfully served. What struck me was the common thread among those she prioritized: they were all English-speaking and of Caucasian origin. It was evident that my skin color played a pivotal role in this agonizing ordeal. This incident deeply saddened me, especially as a fan of Campos coffee due to previous positive experiences at another branch.
TO THE BROOKLYN MANAGEMENT: Maybe if you slightly care then train your staff to come out of the 1950s mindset. People of colour are also PEOPLE and not...
Read morePerhaps I am the only person on the planet with this opinion but I will share it wholeheartedly. The best way to describe these donuts are savoury (albeit fluffy) white bread rolls, topped and/or filled with a decadent-hipster-donutesque icing. I am speaking on behalf of 6 ‘donuts’ in particular - Cheesecake; Brownie; Lemon Meringue; White Newtella; Red Velvet; S’mores. I can guarantee that if you run down to Woolies and grab a pack of cinnamon donuts for $3 and a jar of Nutella for $5 you will have a much tastier dessert at a fraction of the cost. Alternatively if these were sold to me as ‘Decadent White Bread Rolls’ then this review would be 5 Star! If you love this place then I am so happy for you, but clearly your tastebuds need an overhaul, or perhaps they are yet to experience the true meaning of the word flavour. If you’ve read this review thank you for your time. And absolutely no hate towards small business owners - just a little perplexed as to how anyone can enjoy...
Read moreI purchased a box of donut(6pcs), which obviously it's a big box to carry in the mall. I kindly asked for the bag, the staff replied as they don't have a bag which can fit this big donut box. I am well aware of "no plastic bag" policy and I would happy to pay extra for the bag but since they don't even have the bigger bag for the big box so I have no clue how will I suppose to go on shopping in this Chermside Mall! I had to go back to the car, drop my donut box then proceed with the shopping. I have not tried your donuts yet but even it tastes good as other reviews mentioned, I won't be back. You expect the customers who purchase many donuts of yours, carrying around with the big donut box in the mall? Or at least, offer to put into 2 smaller boxes so you can fit them all in the bag. Customer service...
