Lovely little cafe. The service is great even when busy, and the atmosphere of the place is so welcoming. The plants on the tables open the space up and the decorations are hipster chic without overdoing it or feeling staged which is lovely. I only got a coffee to try this place out (standard cap in a mug) and although it was slightly more expensive than my usual at $4.80, the mug size was big enough that its justifiable.

The food menu was limited but sounded lovely. I imagine this is more of a coffee spot + nibbles than a full cafe. The most expensive thing on the menu is the smashed avocado at $13, and theres also an assortment of bagels, jaffles and sweet things.

Side note - the coffee was not as strong as some other places, but I didnt rate this place down because I like it on the stronger side and i know for most people the flavour at this place is what they want.

Theres also a retail section and a barber here although I cant...

I went here 4 days before Christmas (21st) to purchase coffee beansfor my husband who I stated was very fussy weighed his coffee temperature controlled his coffee and wanted fresh beans. I questioned the bag date being 4th December and I wouldn't be giving till 25th December and stated I better come back the day before as I don't think they are fresh enough. The pursueded me the date is good they circulate all the bags through there cafe it it perfect and they only have 1kg bags at the moment. When I gave them to my husband he said they're only good for just over a week. I'm very disappointed they persuaded me into buying a product that had to be used within just over a week. I told them I knew nothing about coffee and my husband was particular about his beans being fresh and now I've wasted money on a product that mostly won't be able...

The team at Capulet & Co are what tie the whole experience together. Waiting for my coffee and food to arrive, I couldn’t help but notice the team would greet regular customers by their first names. It’s something so small, so insignificant, but to those people it starts their day off on such a high note. When your barista remembers your name, I think that’s what movie stars feel like on the daily. They’ve definitely built a community within Sandgate, and it shows by the range of ages of people in the cafe. The team threw in an extra hash brown in my eggs on sourdough, just because, and the coffee was outstanding.

The added surprise of the tomato pesto hiding underneath the sourdough was a welcome addition. A basic eggs on toast was taken to the next level.

Come for the crew, stay for the food and enjoy the coffee while...

First time visitor. Food had good flavour, but was served in a box as it was market day, they don’t use plates on this day, which made it a negative experience. The cardboard became wet and was peeling off with the food. Told the staff member, who took the box without a word to us, not even sorry that has happened to you. I watched her speak to the manager who didn’t even bother to come over to even speak to us. As she walked away from him she was laughing. They want to charge premium price for food in a box. No price adjustment for takeaway! I was only told it was going to be in a box after I paid. Market day is cardboard day, don’t buy food on market day.

Coffee and service were good. They have a small section at the back of the shop. If the place is a bit too busy at the front, you can get a small nook there. They also have tables on the lane way for clients who prefer staying in the sun or with their dog (there's a dog wash next to the shop). While coffee was good, the food options is more like snack and baked treats. Understandable as it's a combination of three businesses and no cooking smells on goods. If one wants cooked breakfast, I'd not recommend this place but perfect for a quick takeaway or catch up with a friend for coffee on weekend.
