The gelato wasn’t too bad, however all of the flavours we tried were a bit icier than we remembered them being. The overall quality is lower than it was before, for a place charging prices like this you would expect a certain creaminess to each gelato. My main reason for the three stars though relates to the service. We arrived well before closing, at ~9:10pm. All drinks were off the menu, supposedly the machine wasn’t working. We ordered our ice cream and went to sit on the nice patio but one of the staff had already started packing up every table. I can understand wanting to pack up a bit earlier if things are slow, but there were plenty of people coming in and it made us feel very unwelcome, like we were annoying them by simply being there. We found some seats anyway, any others who came after us had to stand in their groups because the seats were pushed inside for closing. The place still hadn’t closed yet, it was 9:55 and we eventually got asked to leave because they were closing soon. It was quite rude. Having worked in hospo myself I can appreciate that it’s annoying when people stay near to closing time, but pushing people out before the actual closing time is wild. There was a consistent feeling of being watched during our time there. Again, I understand wanting to pack up early, but they didn’t do it in a nice way. Customer skills need to be worked on here, particularly for the...
Read moreIf love had a flavor, it would be the Salted Caramel Gelato from Gelateria Cremona. My husband and I are utterly obsessed—so much so that we may need an intervention (or at least a frequent flyer program for our weekly visits).
This gelato is divine. It’s the perfect balance of sweet, salty, and creamy magic—like if caramel angels wept into a tub of frozen happiness. One bite, and we were transported to a parallel universe where worries don’t exist, calories don’t count, and every decision leads to more gelato.
Honestly, if Gelateria Cremona ever runs out of this flavor, my marriage might be at risk. We are united in our devotion to this salted caramel masterpiece, and we will protect it at all costs.
If you haven’t tried it yet, run, don’t walk—before...
Read moreI visited this store last night and was served by a lady with short hair. I ordered a scoop of Dutch chocolate in a waffle cone. I was only able to eat a quarter of my ice cream, once I reached the serviette line I was greeted by overwhelming scent of what smelt of kerosene or a fuel like substance, which also seeped onto the cone. This completely ruined the experience.
The girl was in the back originally and pouring what appeared to be a bucket of water into a drum in the back (I assume gelato cleaning), and came out to serve me and handled the cone with her bare hands as well - so I don’t know if there was residue on her hands that coated my cone and serviette either.
I sent an email to the owner, and am yet...
