Note Take this review with a grain of salt. I’ve given it 5 stars but overall I would realistically say 3/5.
Reason being I feel it would be unfair to review a new place on their first day let alone their first few weeks. New staff, new environment. It can take some time to get into a proper good rhythm to get a place humming. And I wanna support small business. I know how tough it can be to start out so I don’t want to affect their rating ——-
The accompanying complementary sides were excellent. Possibly the best I have had compared to other BBQ’s. We got a complimentary sashimi and cheese corn for our BBQ which I think was for their opening day. I think the accompanying sauces need a bit of work. They did lack flavours We had the Wagyu set, and got a Kimchi Pork soup only problem was whilst it tasted like Kimchi, the soup had no Kimchi 😂. They either forgot it or maybe it’s the flavour profile they were going for but we did find it odd to not have kimchi cabbage in the soup considering we paid $23 for it.
It’s hard to tell if the beef was good. It certainly looked fresh with good marbling but taste wise it doesn’t quite hit home as it’s not a Charcoal grill, but rather electric. which might be down to ventilation and safety issues with the premises. I can’t really fault them on that.
Look in summary, it’s worth coming to. I really hope it sticks around. Bulimba has been needing a Korean BBQ for ages and now we got one. It’s most likely not a destination place to travel long distances for the avid foodie, but if you are a local and want to support a really dedicated and passionate small business owner, I encourage you to try. They definitely put in the effort to make the experience great with the tools they have avail (electric grill)
We’ll definitely be back as we live in the area. And we love to support our local restaurants. It’s got a lot of potential to improve from here.
Thanks again for giving us a...
Read moreThe KBBQ here is genuinely great. The quality of the meat is excellent, and the side dishes are some of the best I’ve had outside Korea (even better than some spots I tried while living in Seoul). It’s clear they care about the food.
The one downside is the pushy upselling. Despite politely declining multiple times, the waiter kept pressing us to switch to a more expensive BBQ set. After saying no three times, it became uncomfortable with repeated questioning (“Really? Are you sure? But this one is better”) and some faces made, which created a slightly awkward atmosphere. In the end, it felt like we didn’t really have a choice and went with the more expensive set, missing out on some of the items we had originally wanted and spending more than planned. Also, kept trying to cook our meats for us which we voiced we did not want however they kept trying (it’s not our first rodeo!)
That said, the food is absolutely worth trying, and I still recommend coming here. Hopefully, it’s something the team can improve on, because the...

I came on lunch time alone but had a wonderful experience so I am sharing my thoughts.
Spacious Space & Easy Access
Space between tables are generous good for parents with kids.
Good value for the money.
All menu are reasonably priced including free side dishes even if you order a single main menu! They told us their side dishes are made in the restaurant not bought from somewhere else.
Friendly customer service.
I was surprised that staffs are frequently checking if I need more side dishes even before I finish them!
Overall, it was a very good & warm experience. It would be much nicer if they put a takeaway menu outside of the restaurant for people who hesitate to come inside...
