I have been to Sugo Mi numerous times over many years, but due to life’s foibles, hadn’t been able to visit for quite a while. It was still perfection. The food is so delicious that it almost shocks on the first bite, but then it continues to be pure delight with every mouthful. Even the garlic pizza entree is absurdly delicious. My main was confit duck ravioli with mushrooms and truffle cream. Of course, I tasted everyone else’s food first, and all were so good that I considered stealing their food too! Then I had mine, and I had to fight every fibre of my being to not lick the plate...and propose to all the chefs. They make everything from scratch, including the gelato sold in their mini gelateria, which can also be ordered whilst in the restaurant. The service is always great too, and the place is not at all pretentious or overly-priced (i.e. pizzas at the ‘better’ chains cost similar). I’ve always loved Sugo Mi, and never had a bad meal or bad service, but with gaps in time, sometimes one wonders if memory has exaggerated things. It did not, and it was in fact even better. Go there...and please bring...

🍺 Drinks: Peroni on tap: $13.90 for 500ml – refreshing and delightful. German wheat beer (500ml bottle): $14.50 – a superb choice for beer enthusiasts.
🍕 Food Highlights: Entree: Garlic and cheese pizza – absolutely yummy! Mains: A delightful variety of pastas and pizzas. The chilli pizza, in particular, was a standout, bursting with flavor.
🍨 Dessert: We couldn't resist the gelatos from the outlet at the rear of the restaurant – a perfect end to a delicious meal.
🚗 Practical Tips: Arriving early is a good idea, as Sugo IT doesn't take bookings. Parking was a breeze at the rear, and a couple of us conveniently used the bus.
👩🍳 Service: The waitress was exceptionally polite, attentive, and friendly, making our evening with family and great food thoroughly enjoyable.

Read moreWe visited Sugo It on a busy Friday evening, and while it wasn’t a perfect experience, we’re definitely open to giving it another chance for a five-star rating. We had heard great things about this place, so we came in with high expectations.
I personally really liked both pizzas we ordered—the fig and the pumpkin—but my partner found them just average, saying the fig pizza had a bit too much going on. We love Italian food, so next time, we’ll probably stick to the more traditional options.
The polenta, however, was absolutely amazing, could’ve easily had more of it!
We’re not giving five stars because the pizzas didn’t quite wow us as expected, and they actually forgot to put in one of our pizza orders, so we had to remind them. Another small but frustrating detail was having to constantly ask for a glass of water instead of just having a bottle on the table.
That said, the staff was friendly and attentive, which we appreciated. Overall, a solid four-star experience, and we’re definitely coming back to see if we can get that five-star...
