Coincidence, Credibility, and the World’s Best Coffee: plus Toby’s Estate Review The universe has a funny way of aligning priorities. On my way to work this morning, I was catching up on the best coffee roasters in the world, only to read that Toby’s Estate had snagged the number one spot for 2025. Coincidentally, the bakery I pass every day likely serves their beans. I had to stop. As someone who has actively tracked and visited over 120 cafes across Australia in the last year, my standards are high. Even with this extensive experience, the coffee here was absolutely incredible. I cannot believe I haven’t been trying Toby’s Estate blends before today. This cup delivered a depth of flavor and smoothness that immediately justified their global ranking. If you are anywhere in the vicinity and looking for a truly exceptional cup of coffee, this is a must-stop. My visit was quite early, around 6:45 AM, so I missed out on the full pastry display—a sacrifice made for the early bird caffeine fix. While the morning's baked goods were still being set out, I caught a glimpse of what's to come, and I can confirm that this is clearly an establishment meant for a proper sweet tooth. This bakery looks like it must be a must-stop for bread, cakes, and desserts as well. I'll definitely be coming back later in the day to fully sample the menu. A quick note on the service: the staff was lovely, super sweet, and clearly focused on getting things ready for the day. Given my early arrival, they were a little quiet as they were still opening up. I recommend stopping by a little later once things have settled to get the full staff experience, but even while multitasking, they were attentive and welcoming. Toby's Estate definitely earns my stamp of approval. I can't wait to return and bring friends and family to properly enjoy the full offering of coffee...

This was my first time going to shibusawa Bakery and it was amazing!!! This places is already 100000000/10 experience and I will definitely come back sooon.

I heard the matcha here was so good and the desserts are really good . And ask they weren’t wrong!

Today me and my friend tried the strawberry matcha and the Ube matcha and it was so good.

Both drinks had a great taste to it but a little too much ice I would say compared to others the strawebrrry matcha had little amount of strawberry then I thought , little sad but the ube was nice , it had such a great delicious ube taste but lacked a little bit of matcha . I wished the matcha had a slightly stronger matcha richness but however both drinks were so good and I loved them.

The area is so cute , clean and very welcoming. The workers were so nice and kind, the area was so great for those who want a quiet place to hang with friends , family or just to study.

Unfortunately we didn’t get to try any pastries but next time I will definitely try, they look really good and a little expensive but hopefully it would taste Devine.

Overal this experience was amazing , loved it and DEFINELY RECOMMEND FOR ANY MATCHA LOBERS or dessert LOVERS. 10000000000000000/10 experience and can’t wait to try the other matcha drinks and dessert I will be definitely coming...

I just had the best focaccia known to man right here at this bakery. I think God must have led me here because I had no plans to eat and was just going to get a coffee at any random store... I ended up getting the mushroom and bacon focaccia... and let me tell you- HOW CAN BREAD TASTE THAT... GOOD?? The bread and the wonderful cheese amalgamation on the top sent me to paradise every single time I took a bite. And thank goodness it was a big focaccia because My Big Back would have gotten TWO, it was that good. I'm writing this review about two minutes after finishing that focaccia because I feel like if I don't tell the world about this forbidden fruit it would be selfish of me!

I never really write reviews but... sometimes the food is just so good your hands force you to write an immediate review for the benefit of society đŸ€ŁđŸ€Ł

GO GET...

🍰Such a cute cafĂ©, delicious sweets, pastries and friendly staff! Right outside from the Central Station too. Went in yesterday around lunch-time Friday and asked for recommendations. One of the girls was very accommodating. Took it all home and my friend and I enjoyed everything so much! They also do bigger cakes, but I think you need to prebook them in advance. We'll definitely be back to try more of the savoury items (and everything else) they have, everything looks soooo good!! A special thanks to the lovely staff, but especially the girl with glasses that served us that day. She was extremely helpful and genuinely made us feel so welcome, it’s honestly quite rare nowadays to see someone enjoy what they’re doing and make us customers enjoy the experience wholeheartedly. Kudos to her🌟 Will defs be back :)
