Hardy Boys Coffee Carindale — Restaurant in Brisbane City

Came in this morning to get some breakfast with my partner. The girls who served us were lovely and the coffee was great; however, my partner found a piece of hard, solid plastic in her scrambled eggs, it was at least 10cm and very jagged and sharp. Upon telling who appeared to be the manager as a courtesy, we were completely dismissed, with a "sorry about that", met with no eye contact and obvious disregard for our experience. A piece of plastic can cause serious injuries if ingested. It is important to remember that health and safety comes first and the responsibility of the vendor is to maintain a safe environment and simply acknowledge a mistake - and take steps to rectify it. Mistakes happen, and we did not request a refund but we do care about acknowledgement. Won't be coming again and we are only 2 customers, but hopefully no one else suffers as a result of...

A recent review from me placed this venue at the top of my list for breakfast before tackling a days shopping. I'm changing it because the value for money and service has been dramatically reduced. The venue wasn't all that busy, but I was still advised there would be a 30 minute wait. There was also a 15 minute wait for coffee. I ordered my usual favourite breakfast and when it arrived I was going to point out to the waitress that they had forgotten to give me bacon, which was part of the menu selection. I took another look and found my bacon under my poached egg. (Yes, it was that small a serving) I usually struggle to finish my breakfast here, but found myself wishing I had ordered toast to go with it. I went searching for breakfast in the shopping centre and for the first time, gave this restaurant nestled in the corner a try. First good impression I had was the staff, the I had big smiles greet me and “good mornings” from the staff. I ordered a big breakfast- bacon, toast, hash brown, eggs, mushrooms, avocado (no halloumi) and a hot chocolate. I love the layout of the restaurant, I got a dimly lit private seat but they have an open seating option as well. My breakfast came promptly, cooked to perfection. Everything was perfect, may be one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a long time. Lots of crispy bacon, eggs were delicious, lots of avocado. A lovely older lady working there should be given credit for her lovely nature. I will definitely be back to dine here...
