I have been coming here for years and used to bring my dad with me sometimes. I have always bought tofu "crunchy fried rice" and I think dad would get his with fried rice. We both enjoyed the food and had no major issues with anything else even though the service was a little inconsistent. I no longer have the option to bring dad but still come here every couple of months. Unfortunately the quality of the food seems to have fallen off recently and I'm wondering if it's changed owners, staff or how they make the fried rice. I also noticed the disgraceful state of their front counter which drew my attention to look more closely at the kitchen. The kitchen didn't have such obvious filth but didn't scream, "we take pride in our cleanliness" either. There has always been a table and chair attached to the back of Mr Do's and it doesn't seem to be cleaned and maintained by the Westfield food court as it has become dirtier and more run down over the years (unless they fixed it since my last visit, I didn't bother to look today) If I had been paying attention to start with and had seen the disgusting state of the front counter, the filthy laptop they use as a register and other bits and pieces, I would have gone elsewhere. When back at Carindale again I'll pay more attention if tempted to try Mr Do's again. It seems like their standards have slipped all round so until they lift their game and start respecting their customers, they have lost a customer.

First time eating here & wanted some warm food & saw they had a fish ball noodle soup - which is rare to find at a shopping centre food court - & what my toddler wanted to eat so was winning! Situated inside Westfield Carindale Shopping Centre down in the food court area near the library. Plenty of places to sit around the store with access for mobility vehicles, prams & high chairs. Staff member was very friendly, food didn’t take long to make considering it was a Thursday night & during the dinner period. Overall, the meal tasted great & there was a lot of fish in the meal, but it lacked other vegetables to bring out that overall flavour& even presentation. Extra noodles perhaps would have at least given that fullness a bowl of warm noodle soup brings. The soup itself was yum but definitely needs vegetables - other than onion & shallots - to add some colour & tie in the flavour. Easy to get to via public transport to Carindale Shopping Centre or by car with plenty of undercover parking - first 3 hours free & 4 hours free using the Westfield App! Disability & pram parking available throughout the centre. Restroom nearby with a parent room & disability amenities. Would come back to try other dishes from the menu, always room for improvement.

This is a difficult place to review.... Their fried rice and noodle salads are to die for. The food is really delicious and has me thinking about when I will be able to eat their food again soon. However, the wait times on food are unreasonably long. I waited 40 minutes for the best fried rice I have ever had. Went back a couple of days later and experienced the same yummy food after a similar wait time. Both experiences were during low volume times. Please Mr Do, serve your food in a timely manner so that I can I enjoy it without the frustration of the long waits. Seriously... the best chicken fried rice I have ever had.

There should be an option for no stars.

Where do you begin to write a post about aweful customer and food service….

I ordered beef brisket pho, and arrived home to Tofu Pho in my bag. I didn’t want that, and so I went to return it (yes I travelled from my home back to this store to get my $18 Pho order corrected!) Upon returning to the restaurant to correct the matter and request, for my inconvenience, time wasted and petrol spent, if they could do something to correct the matter, like lowering the price (honestly, any offer of recompense would have made me feel like they felt the annoyance, inconvenience and financial expense I had gone through to correct their error) But no, Mr Dos and his daughter just looked at me staring. They clearly didn’t know what to do, so instead he spat the words at me- refund all and walked away. After the refund was processed, I asked if I was going to get my food, his daughter was also unclear on this matter and went to ask him- the verdict from the cowardice Mr Dos communicated to me though his young daughter was “No Food”.

So now I have no food and petrol spent and I can’t get back my time.

I will NEVER eat here again. And if you do, check your...
