Thank you to all the wonderful staff and Daniel, compliment s to the chef From the moment you walk into Hizolas Bar and Kitchen, you’re met with an atmosphere that strikes the perfect balance between relaxed and refined. Nestled in the Valley, this place is an absolute standout for anyone who loves exceptional food paired with genuine, attentive service.

Food: Every dish we tried was a celebration of bold flavours and perfect balance. The share-plate style makes dining interactive and fun, but the real highlight is the execution—each plate was thoughtfully crafted, vibrant, and beautifully presented. The produce was fresh, the seasoning precise, and every bite carried depth without being heavy. The kitchen has clearly mastered the art of modern Asian fusion, creating food that excites the palate while still feeling comforting and familiar. Standouts included the tuna, ribs, bao s, food was which was nothing short of extraordinary.

Service: What really sets Hizolas apart is the service. The staff are warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They know the menu inside-out, offering spot-on recommendations , dishes flowed seamlessly from the kitchen, and every interaction felt personal rather than rehearsed. It’s clear the team takes pride in creating an experience, not just a meal.

Overall: Hizolas Bar and Kitchen is the kind of place that lingers with you long after the evening ends. It’s where flavour, atmosphere, and hospitality come together effortlessly. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying a night out in the Valley, this is a must-visit destination that consistently delivers on every front.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Exceptional food, world-class service, and an atmosphere that makes you want to return...

What an absolutely beautiful dining experience I had this week at Hizola's!

I organised a dinner for ~60 people and our experience from planning through to the event night was excellent. Responsive communication via email to confirm our requirements could be met and the warmest of welcomes on the couple of times I visited the venue in person prior to our event evening.

The ambience was on point from the lighting, the decor, along with the smooth tunes.

The food and drinks were delicious, well presented, and I certainly finished the night with a full belly. Dietary requirements (which were tricky for more than one member of our party) were accommodated with ease. The cocktails were a definite hit with our group as well.

Every member of staff I interacted with on the night was friendly and helpful, everyone seemingly went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our evening.

The standout of the night was our main host, Moon. What an asset she is to the Hizola's team. Such beautiful energy and spirit flow effortlessly from Moon, she will certainly put a smile on your face.

Thanks again to the entire Hizola's team, so glad I found this gem in Brisbane. Without a doubt, I...

I wasn't super impressed with the dinner here unfortunately. I called up early to check if we could come at 6pm as our booking was for 5:30pm and the lady on the phone was quick to answer that they were booked out for the night. When we arrived there were hardly any people there until when we left at 6:30pm. The duck pancakes said that they came with chinese brocolli and instead came with iceberg lettuce and fermented cabbage which wasn't in line with the menu. We ordered a cocktail as a virgin cocktail and were still charged $20 for it even though it didn't have alcohol in it. Usually mocktails are a lot cheaper than cocktails. We had the duck spring rolls and the duck meat was very fatty - more like minced duck with a weird taste. Kung Pow chicken and fried rice were good but not what you would expect for the price you are paying. I saw a lot of positive reviews which is why I was keen to try this place. Would say that the cauliflower was the best out of what we ordered. The staff were lovely and attentive...

Booked through the first table app for a 5pm on Friday night. The staff were friendly and engaging and restaurant had a nice vibe. Food was ok, the lotus fries where perfectly cooked but the Sezchuan peppercorn aioli was bland and had no spice at all, the duck spring rolls were nice and crispy, my daughter said the shredded beef bao buns were tasty, oysters were fresh but the granita was unbalanced and too sour, the salmon sashimi was flavorless and the rice cakes were oily and unpleasant, the yang yang beef was tender but was severely lacking in sauce so overall was dry. First table ensures 50% off the food bill however we were not given the discount on the oysters, this was noticed once the bill had already been paid which was disappointing. Please note that once this was pointed out to staff they apologized, offered a refund, offered a dessert or drink to compensate which we declined (as we were full). Cannot fault the service but after reading reviews had expected a little more from the food

Welcome to Fortitude Valley. It's pleasing to see a new restaurant and bar opening. I'm always on the lookout for something a little different that excites my taste buds. Not only was the food flavoursome and fulfilling but value for money as well. The servings were generous. I ordered vegetable spring rolls, stir fry vegetables as a side dish and of course the sizzling beef. All the dishes were colorfully presented against the backdrop of comfortable and aesthetically pleasing surroundings. The customer service was perfect, Jamuna welcomed me to the restaurant as if we were best friends. The highlight was the beef being ignited at the table. The meal was paired with a crispy Chardonnay from the Margaret River. The location is central to local residents, and city workers. Stop by after work for dinner and drinks, you won't be disappointed.

My partner and I visited Hizola’s Kitchen & Bar for a Valentine’s Day dinner. The food was good, staff were polite but a bit disorganized. We didn’t get our rice which was originally meant to be paired with another dish. We had to ask about it. They offered to bring it out on its own and we refused but it still would’ve been nice to have been compensated. It wasn’t taken off the bill either. Staff also asked at one point if we’d had all of our meals from the banquet despite them being in charge of our table. We enjoyed ourselves but there are other great options in close proximity at a similar price point that I think we’d choose over Hizola’s Kitchen & Bar next time.
