I used the drive thru as I had been at an event all afternoon and into the evening so I was looking for something quick and easy to have on the way home.
I was promptly served at the drive thru speaker and was able to pay quickly at the next window. That is were the promptness and the customer service ended.
Driving up to the serving window after the car in front was served I sat there for a good two minutes whilst a young lady poured frozen drinks for other customers. She then cleaned her hands before putting a straw in my drink and handing it to me.
Another couple of minutes passed the young server was told to park me to which she passed on the instruction. I was parked without any explanation.
I then waited another few minutes and I couldn't wait any longer. I went to the counter asking where my food was and the first girl looked at me stunned. The girl packing the meals said mine was coming now.
As I had a raised voice the manager walked out and I asked what took so long. She said that the car behind me hand drinks and there was a number of orders in front of me.
This was a flagrant lie whilst at the drive through window they had served one person and when I was parked there was no customers either at the counter or who came in. That is what upset me the most in that she couldn't even be honest with me.
My order consisted of burger and medium fries and drink and it would have taken them well over 10 minutes to deliver it. When I looked at the screen when I picked up my order there was approximately 6 orders on the acreen which would have been mostly drive thru behind me.
Whilst the food was fresh and tasty it was soured be an extremely pour customer service experience, I personally will not be going...
Read moreWhat can I say to keep this positive, I know you eventually get your food. The service is always so slow here. Firstly why they close the restaurant at night and force everyone through the drive-thru is just ridiculous. This is a main busy store and when you watch the number of people who walk up to doors only to be told drive thru only. I know hungry jacks would claim security but I claim stupidity that the amount of business they turn away because people don’t want to use the drive-thru. Apart from being very slow I find if you order chips with your meal they are always cold, the burgers are generally sloppy and over sauced and over priced. Hungry jacks menus are confusing with most Most burgers looking the same and with only slight differences to the ingredients and huge differences in pricing. I can fully understand why HJs is number 2 in the market. If you’re drunk and need to mung out on some rubbish this is the place for you. If you’re sober and are willing to put up with poor service, poor cold food by all means shoot on in. I have been to this outlet a number of times and tried a number of overpriced similar burgers, I wanted this place to improve somewhat before writing this review. Being a fast food restaurant under a large brand I thought a number of visits would give me a more accurate representation and now my overall review. This place just sucks plain and simple. Look at getting some enthusiastic staff, clean up your menus, if you’re not going to open you restaurant over night get yourself some clear descent signs for your entrance telling your customers that you only operate drive-thru after 11pm. I really hope Hungry Jacks reads reviews and will attempt to...
Read moreUpdate: A different shift manager called me and apologized for the way I was treated. She also offered a meal replacement. Changing the rating from 1 star to 3 for the lovely shift manager (sorry, can't remember her name).
Today is my son's 10th birthday. I asked what would he like to eat in dinner. He picked HJ. We ordered vegetarian burgers, paid extra to swap the non-vegetarian stuff to vege patty but when brought it home, found it to contain bacon in it. My boys were not happy but I explained them that this might be a simple human error. It could have happened accidentally. I called to prove my point (on speaker phone) talking to the shift manager I guess, and tshe completely blamed this on me. I clearly told the girl at the counter that we are vegetarian and want a vegetarian burger. The manager said that it is my responsibility to explain the girl what I meant by 'vegetarian'. I just wanted to bring this into their notice but she blamed everything on me. Honestly, I am not aware anything about non vegetarian stuff. So I can't come up with a specific instructions to not include meat and bacon. I had to Google it before writing this. I told her that I am vegetarian and I clearly told this to the girl. I don't blame the girl, nor the person who made this. But the way I was treated for bringing this into the notice was very rude. And guess what, my son was so upset, he didn't eat tonight. Thank you for the memory. HUNGRY JACK'S HERSTON- you have one less customer to handle....
