This relates to the attitude and contempt of the owner Andrea and an interaction over what should have been a very simple scenario.
While awaiting a take away coffee on my lunch break a tar like substance had seeped from the wooden table and covered my jumper sleeve. I took the jumper in and asked the manager if they had anything to help me wipe it off, the owner Andrea then came out and attempted to pick the substance off with her nails, I could see the jumper freying and asked her to stop, she replied " don't make a big deal out of this it will come out in the wash "
Unsure of that I asked if she could take it to be dry-cleaned/done at home and that I would pick it up. She agreed and took my number....(so far so good right)
I never received a call to say it was ready and went in on 3 occasions to collect it, everytime leaving my number and a message to be contacted when I could collect it. On my most recent visit I saw Andrea and asked for my jumper, she laughingly said it's gone with no extra explanation and made belittling mocking remarks and said I should get over it because we're all in a pandemic?? when i asked what that had to do with my jumper she said there's far more important things happening in the world .....
These things happen every day in cafes and restaurants but the way it was handled and the way I was made to feel was appalling, the loss of a $140 jumper hurts but the way I was made to feel in the cafe hurt far more. I am boycotting out of principle 👎
I know that may sound a bit like a Karen but I'm also someone that tips the waiter and never complains for...
Read moreSuch poor service made my first experience here a real disappointment. I met a friend here after a hospital visit.
The environment was wonderful, and so I thought I would likely return. That is unlikely now as a result of the lack of interest in customer service and lack of communication from the staff.
I ordered 2 coffees and asked for them extra hot. I indicated to the staff where I was sitting. The staff did not indicate that I would have to collect them.
Instead of bringing the coffee to us, they took them in the opposite direction to the takeaway window and left them there. 5 or so minutes later, after the coffees were now cold, a staff member walked in to where we were and told us our coffees were outside. It would have been far less effort on their part to have just brought the coffee to us originally!
Sure, it was our first time there and we didn't know the system. That's the point! I guess being opposite the hospital, there is such good traffic that they just don't "have" to care.
Having been in the restaurant industry, it's sad to see that coffee is a commodity now and not an experienc and so many places can survive even with...
Read moreI went in with another person hoping the person and I could get a (at a bare minimum) decent meal and a drink however we got something different, when ordering we didn’t know where because the place is crowded with fake plants and weird fake flora. When we sat down the tables were horrendous- the tables weren’t clean and the spaces in the timber table was filled with crumbs and food bits. By the time we we’re given our food my drink (which was the “Monkey Magic”) wasn’t the size I ordered or not even the sizing on display at the counter, the other person I was with got a drink that they didn’t even recognise the taste of. The both of us shared one of the choc oat cookies which was very bland and the only thing you could taste was the subtle choc chips- back to my drink, I could only taste banana. All the other ingredients that was supposed to be in the smoothie was vacant, there was no flavour of cinnamon nor mango. Over all this failure of a coffee shop should be disappointed in the quality of products they serve.
(The only reason I gave this a 1 star of rating was because the customer service by one of the young girls that served...
