Izakaya Kura — Restaurant in Brisbane City

I really would have liked to have given this great suburban Japanese restaurant 5 stars. I mean the food is great, service is excellent and very reasonably priced. Unfortunately, they do not do desert . This is the first time in my life that I have been to a restaurant that does not do desert. When I asked I was told it was to due to staffing storages. Yea right, Guys your are literally next door to an IGA. Go and buy a tub of ice-cream and serve it up at 3 times the price that it costs you. Come on you can do it, I want to come back. SO disappointing!! I can not believe I paid $15 for instant spicy noodles - yes there was (very average) Karage Chicken on top but essentially I paid for a $1 pack of instant noodles I could have made myself with a kettle. We also ordered Agedashi Tofu - another big letdown. The final dish was Tempura Vegetable Udon - the Tempura Vege was inedible and the udon soup was so salty my tongue felt pickled by the time I finally decided I had to stop force-feeding myself. I ordered just under $100 worth of food to celebrate a family member's birthday. I placed the order at 12.20pm yesterday and telephoned twice to try to find out where the food was. By 2pm, I had to feed my guests a different meal because we waited too long. The birthday was ruined. They tried to deliver the food at 2.49pm, which was 2 hours and 29 minutes after I ordered it.
