Just recently, 2 birthday anniversaries quietly passed us by. Well, my wife’s 40th wasn’t so quiet, but the birthday of Kith ‘n’ Chow (where we went for her birthday lunch) marked 5 years of this fantastic little popup cafe.
With umbrella’s galore, plants aplenty and food being served from a couple of quaint looking little caravans, the crew at Kith ‘n’ Chow (operating behind owner Suzie’s fathers florist/coffee shop) serve up delectable goodies for a great weekend breakfast.
THE platter for two…..or three Probably the major drawcard for Kith is the platter for two (and the recent addition of a platter for three).
The above is definitely our staple at Kith ‘n’ Chow, including fresh salmon, chorizo sausages, haloumi, fried eggs, bacon, toasted sourdough, beetroot hummus as well as bowls of greek yoghurt with freshly made granola and fruit. The highlight for me surprisingly is the the lightly grilled cherry tomotoes sitting on rocket with an amazingly decadent avocado dressing.
Now, I’m no big eater. I can put some food away thought as I am a fairly big lad, but our platter for 3 can feed our entire family (admittedly, we also purchased some waffles which were yuuuuuuummmmmmmmy) and it is great to see all of us eating food that we probably wouldn’t eat. My daughter polishes off all of the salmon, my son demolishes the eggs, my wife is a haloumi fiend and while I will always gladly assist in making the bacon and sourdough disappear, I am in love with the tomato with avocado dressing.
Fresh food, crispy taste, done well.
Make sure you book Kith ‘n’ Chow is popular. Their service is fantastic, the food scrumptious and very reasonably priced, the cafe is dog friendly and quite centrally located – for these reasons, and the plentiful images surfacing of Instagram haloumi closeups, waffle selfies, snapchat cappucino’s and other Facebook food sharing, it is definitely advisable to book in advance. Facebook messenger is our preferred method of booking (it seems to me that Kith ‘n’ Chow are very social media friendly) – book in, order the platter and take a picture. Trust me, you...

All the things in their menu sound divine. We ordered the Banana & Honeycomb Waffle (because the picture looks good on Instagram), and Beetroot Avocado. Both tasted amazing!!! The waffle wasn’t too sweet and the beetroot spread was delicious.
I think they’re known for their breakfast Signature Platters (Vegetarian option available), we’ve seen a bunch of people ordering it too.
One thing to point out is they don’t serve coffee, they only do juices and smoothies (the Milo Malt was so yummy). And if you want coffee you have to order separately to the coffee shop next door. I think they’re working together and share the space but different entities so you have to pay separately.
Overall, love this place and will...
