Mount Gravatt Hotel — Restaurant in Brisbane City

So I know everyone either says either "the best food" or "the worst" when reviewing making it a little difficult to genuinely gauge.

I want to be to be known that I am not exaggerating or emphasizing when I say this.

This was genuinely the most sub par parmi I have ever had at any restaurant. And possibly the most sub par I have had of all time.

The chicken is of the lowest quality I'm surprised is even being ordered. That dense rubber flat non textured glue together chicken in a crumb. I'd consider changing suppliers. When it came out only half of the parmi had sauce and cheese on it. I would have thought you would have tried to hide the chicken atleast. Was also overcooked.

Chips were over salted pretty severely (couldn't eat on their own)

Salad was what I would expect although a little interesting the tomato component was a quarter tomato in on slice.

$28 for a plate that couldnt even top a Woolworths $2 crumbed chicken

That's the 1 star for the food.

The one star for the service is because the service was practically non existent, you order with your phone from the barcode on the table. It still asks for a tip? pretty stingy / insulting asking for tip when no service had actually been received. Didn't eat the parmi and when waitress came to pick up 2x un eaten parmis from the table no comments were made, not expecting any but a "how was your meal" after seeing uneaten meals could be a good Segway from some in person feedback.

1 star for atmosphere, wobbly table and kids running back and forth fighting eachother within arm's length of our seating. Had to shoo them away so we could continue our conversation.

All in all biggest gripe is with how sub par food was, genuinely feel scammed. Parmi looked nothing like the picture...

If I could give 0 stars I would. We had our little one christening celebration and it started bad and only got worse with them ruining the cake. I spoke with someone to book and stated we wanted food 1230pm and all at once. I arrived at 1220 to find my mum had been asked when we wanted food. Food was so overpriced it was ridiculous. Pizza were maybe the only thing worth the cost.... our cheese platter was tiny (plate not a platter) and they didn't even bring out the Turkish bread (didn't realise at the time) and we had ask for more crackers. Pizzas were all over place and we had to ask which was which as ordered few GF and vegan ones..... Glass got dropped and we informed staff so it could be cleaned. I told young girl where it had shattered and she still only cleaned up small area; we had small kids playing and lucky none took shoes off as we adults were still stepping on pieces. When my aunty who had spent whole week making and decorating the cake went in to get it, it was bought out with massive dent in the side..... she was extremely upset 😡 and only got little I'm sorry. My hubby went in to speak with them and all they could say was they spoke with aunty and said sorry.... I really expected a manger or owner to step up and say proper apology and offer some compensation for the damage.... but nothing.

I am so upset with whole thing, I was totally stressed and was unable to eat anything as all the food came out in dribs and draws and was gone so quickly. I went here as a kid and loved it and had alot recommendations from people. I have and will continue to let everyone know our experience so people are warned of potentially heartbreaking situation they...

Wow what a disappointment this year for christmas lunch! 2017. This has been our 3rd year...We will not be attending any more functions.

We were shown to our table outside like it was last year, we were lucky we thought,under the fan on a very hot day!! We invited another 5 people along so table of 10. as we couldnt praise our meal last year.

On going up to the buffet we always look to see what is on offer. As we loaded our plates with prawns,turkey,ham,crackling and some salads.. Omg... Ive never been so embarrassed to show my friends what a wonderful lunch we had last year.. Nothing was hot! just warm. Meats.. warm.. The prawns..Frozen and thawed out still full of water. The beans...Were so hard couldnt be eaten.. The potato salad... Potato still raw.. Strawberries... Were Rotten. Water and Rock melon.. cut so fine,couldnt taste it.. Crackling... Cold..Like chewing dryed fat.

Then we went to the deserts section...WHAT... NO...PAVLOVA..CHOC MOUSSE..CHRISTMAS PUDDING OR CUSTARD! Having petit four deserts,instead of the Traditional Christmas deserts..Shame..

Then on top of all that the fan near us wasnt working, to have people sitting out on the front veranda in the heat no working fans.. a shame..

We did point out our complain to the Female Manager,who advised us that they cut down on the numbers for lunch this year as they had way to many last year..In saying that one would think the food,would have been a lot better!

Value for money No.. not this year, very...
