Nestled within the bustling heart of Westfield Chermside, La Bon Choix stands as a veritable beacon of French-inspired culinary excellence, a cherished establishment that consistently elevates the casual dining experience. For those seeking a light yet profoundly satisfying repast, this patisserie and boulangerie proves to be an indispensable destination.
My frequent visits invariably revolve around their exemplary lunch offerings. The French baguettes are, without hyperbole, nothing short of fantastic. Each bite offers a delightful symphony of textures: a perfectly crisp, golden crust yielding to an exquisitely soft and airy interior, a testament to authentic baking craftsmanship. Whether enjoyed simply or filled with their fresh, high-quality ingredients, these baguettes transport one directly to the boulevards of Paris.
As the cooler months descend, the allure of their pumpkin and capsicum soup becomes utterly irresistible. This seasonal offering is a triumph of flavour – a velvety smooth concoction, rich with the earthy sweetness of pumpkin and the subtle, warming notes of capsicum. Served alongside impeccably fresh breadrolls, it provides a comforting and nourishing embrace, a true highlight of the winter menu.
Beyond the daily delights, La Bon Choix distinguishes itself as an unparalleled purveyor of celebratory confections. For birthdays and other special occasions, their array of cakes is nothing short of incredible. Each creation is a work of art, meticulously crafted with an eye for both aesthetic beauty and gastronomic pleasure. The quality of ingredients and the precision of their pastry chefs are evident in every slice, ensuring a memorable centrepiece for any festivity.
In essence, La Bon Choix is more than just a place to eat; it is a culinary sanctuary where quality, flavour, and artisanal dedication converge. It remains, without doubt, my steadfast recommendation for anyone desiring an authentic taste of French patisserie and a consistently delightful dining experience...
Read moreToday, I went to have coffees and cakes with my children and son-in-law.
The drinks came out first. Everyone got their drinks and then later on the cakes came out, the waiter has bought everyone's cake except for mine.
So I waited for 5- 7minutes, and I thought oh I don't know why he's not bringing my cake. so I went in there nicely asking for them why didn't he bring my cake.
He was quite rude to me, so I asked him can I please have my cake that I ordered and paid for. So the owner or manager came in and said no no no no wait wait wait don't just keep the cake to her. I will have to check the sales itemise to make sure she has paid for her cake.
That is just disgusting and rude as if anyone would go and ask for a cake without paying for it!!!
I did not get any apologies for the staff or the manager or owner whoever she was. I don't recommend this place and I won't be going there again because the service is so bad!!!! the staff owner or manager there are so rude!!!
Disgusting, disgusting bad...
Read moreStaff polite at first greeting us however when clearing us a table, the table was not wiped down or cleaned at all (If they can’t even slightly clean the front of house, I can’t image what’s happening in the kitchen with food and drink preparation and hygiene) We stood waiting for it to be cleaned however that time never came (Nobody else’s table was cleaned as well). Additionally, the photos of meals on the menu looked drastically different to what was actually served, processed chicken in a salad is not acceptable. Coffee was undrinkable, the flavor was off in some way and the texture was watery (And that’s in a latte.) Externally, it appears high standard, a cute French inspired patisserie, but what lies inside is not just unremarkable, but processed and frankly disappointing. We will never visit there again and would not recommend. A complete...
