The grilled chicken banh mi was overall excellent quality. The chicken itself was so succulent, flawlessly cooked and flavoured.

The bread was also delicious and toasted.

However I was a bit disappointed by the very thin smear of pate, which itself was quite bland. I couldn’t taste pate at all. I’m not sure if it this very thin smear was a one-off, or if it’s deliberately intended to cater to the tastes of white people (given the area), but next time I would request extra pate.

The cucumber inside was a bit mushy, granted I arrived later in the 30C day. I felt that the amount of veg was a bit sparse as well.

My favourite local lunch spot. Service is above and beyond for what you would normally expect. Food is amazing. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for good value tasty food! Update: I have reduced my rating after just wasting my entire lunch break (30 minutes) waiting for a simple salad and it still was not ready after that time (and ended up having to get a refund) . I believe this place is severely understaffed these days for the foot traffic it receives. Would be a very wise idea to improve service as its definitely going to lose customers. Best Banh Mi in Brisbane? Definitely up there for me, best I've had the pleasure to enjoy in Brisbane as of August 2022.

Crispy Pork, extra pate extra chilli. Perfect proportion of pickled veg, pate and pork in bread fresh airy and soft inside yet with that crunch you're going for on the outside, pork generous and succulent with nice flavour and light crispy skin.

No wonder the store is always so busy (if you want crispy pork come before 12:00, to avoid missing out).

Recently they have added Char Siu and it too is very nice.
