Brand new renovation!

I live around the corner and have been watching this place be renovated for months.

I popped in today as I heard it was open on the weekend.

Disclosure- I haven’t eaten but yeh food prices and variety was what I based my option off, way more affordable to other Venues. (Attached in photos)

Also the vibe is quite because I looked on a Monday when it was quite hit based my opinion on the overall vibe, there is a amazing kids zone where they have windows from all sections to view your children while you have lunch.

I think this place will be great for sporting events as well.

The overall renovation is amazing and I think a lot of people and families are going to love it. Great job everyone

My only real disappointment is tap selection which is in the photos as well. There isn’t any availability for people who want low sugar/gluten free. Things like seltzers etc or if not low sugar something gluten free. I find it’s missed a lot at venues these days and instead there’s beer no one has heard of to add to more beer.

I will update the review as they have tap changes so we will see.

Note they do have bottled selections

Great job to the whole team and exciting...

The meals we had last night were very below average. I had the salmon with vege and mash. It was literally a piece of overcooked dry salmon that seemed it was done in an airfryer and black ontop. The vegetables were good, but minimal. A small dob of very bland mash. I honestly can't believe I paid for that. I had to excuse myself from my friend to go get some sauce to actually try to add some flavour and moisture into to to be able to eat it. Even the pre-marinaded salmon from Coles is better that that!

My mate ordered the 300g rib fillet and she was very disappointed. It was just a thin slither of dry meat. For $43 you'd expect something half decent

Food creativity and flavour = 0.

The only thing good on the menu I have had was a chicken pizza. So atleast one good thing

It's a very, very, basic pub menu selection with the classic meals... and some not even done well 🥱 Boring. I thought they would have updated the menu when they updated the restaurant, but apparently not.

It's a shame, because I live only 100m away and was hoping this would be my new local - maybe just for beer and pizza, which I only eat once in a blue moon, so won't be often...

Don’t bother going. Was greeted by very rude male on the door who stated that people are not welcome to have a meal or even grab a drink as pub was at capacity - including the public bar. Upon checking there were many vacant tables and the ones that were booked, some of which were not booked for over an hour (have a video of this at 5pm and then again at 6pm)

I have never experienced a place turning people away because they had reserved all the tables in the venue including the public bar… some hours in advance 🙄

I am sure in a couple of hours they may get busier but to treat customers like garbage and not even allow them to stay for a drink or a very quick meal using the empty tables until 7pm (at 5pm) will lose them a lot of business in all areas, food, functions and the poker machines.

I have since found out that others were allowed in… the staff just discriminate selectively who they want to allow entry into the venue.

Welcome back to the Lord Stanley Hotel - The new flashy place that will be the same old empty pub very, very soon as the customer service is disgusting and the operation processes are atrocious! I will not be spending...

Well Lord Stanley, what a surprise. I walked into this place lunch time Saturday for the first time. Unlike almost every other pub in and around Brisbane that I have visited and that's plenty! I was blown away by the service. As I walked through the venue to the main bar, I was greeted by every single staff member, including the Chef in the kitchen. Don't let the outside fool you. The Lord Stanley is absolutely beautiful inside. There is plenty of room and a great outdoor area to the rear of the building. Good selection of tap beer, daily specials, and chef specials. Also, there is a wide variety of good options on the menu, which are well priced. To my surprise, this place wasn't very busy, so get down to the Lord Stanley and get behind your local. Thanks to all of the staff for the warm welcome, great service, and the couple of cold beers👏 Menu and specials as at 22nd April 2023.

What an incredible first night back at the newly refurbished Lord Stanley in East Brisbane! The place looks amazing—fresh, modern, and much more family friendly. The atmosphere was welcoming and vibrant. We ordered steaks and they were cooked to absolute perfection, just as we asked. The food overall was excellent. The staff were super friendly, helpful, and clearly proud of the reopening—such a great achievement for opening night. Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely be back next week!
