Food: I shared the Kimchi and Corn Quesedilla, Chilli Cheese Scramble Egg Croissant, and Dragon Fruit Smoothie with my partner. The Quesedilla was a delightful surprise as I wasn't sure how the fusion ingredients would pair. One bite took me through a subtle crunch, toasty aroma, and into a juicy, saucy centre that was sweet, tangy, and savoury. Definitely my highlight of this meal. The Croissant was buttery, flaky on the outside and soft on the inside. It was divided by a bed of silky scrambled eggs that was beautifully infused with cheese and a spicy kick. Spicy level not noteworthy for someone who can enjoy some heat but if you avoid KFC hot 'n' spicy recipe, you should avoid this too. The smoothie also contained mango, banana, and coconut water. Cool and refreshing, not particularly flavourful, but a nice balance to the two prior dishes that were.
Vibe: Cute décor with pastel tones so it could pass for a cupcake or dessert stop. Mellow music, and great natural lighting from the floor to ceiling windows front encouraged me to take my time framing my insta-worthy meal. Nice breeze from the sturdy fans, though I suspect they doubled in use as a bug repellent as we had to fend our food from one particular pesky fly. In saying that, the food was so tasty I would come back and take that battle again.
Service: Staff were friendly and food came out very speedy. Surprisingly, the café was not busy for a 10.30am Sunday slot.
Parking: There is free retail parking available, the car park entrance is right next to the café.
Verdict: Highly recommend if you enjoy Korean flavours, or want a fun twist to the usual café menu. I would definitely go back and...
Read moreWe visited this café and ordered three cappuccinos—one with almond milk and two with oat milk. However, we received an oat latte and a caramel cappuccino instead. When we kindly pointed out the mistake, we were told that they double-check orders, so if there was a misunderstanding, it was on us.
I am a barista, and I know that mistakes happen all the time. We make so many coffees, and if there's an error, we simply fix it. Apparently, at Mr. Alpaca, mistakes are not allowed at all.
When I mentioned that to Bella, she said "well, I am the manager here and when double check, if there's mistake, you have to pay again"
Despite the mix-up, the manager, Bella, insisted that we would need to pay again if we wanted the correct drinks. After some discussion, they eventually replaced the coffees, but it felt like this only happened because other customers were watching.
One of the cappuccinos came with no chocolate powder at the end.
It's a coffee, guys, do you really think 3-4 dollars deserve all this?
Overall, the experience was disappointing. Mistakes can happen, but the way they handled it left a lot to be desired. Unfortunately, we won’t...

Seriously good java in a bright cafe with an atypical menu. Located on the ground floor of Quest Woolloongabba, this place impresses with its menu of all-day Aussie brekkie favs and Asian-infused creations.
Probably one of the top 3 best flat whites I’ve ever had. Rich, strong with the body of a wild free range alpaca. They really should make this a signature and call it Mr Alpaca already.
Rest of the Whatevers are just as impressive. I had the Hero Bulgogi Steak Sandwich - and it was as glorious as it was messy. Super tender grilled beef and carmeralized onions in a sweet marinade on thick cut toast, mushrooms, greens and topped with melted cheese. Generously portioned and satisfying. If this bad boy doesn’t prepare you for the day ahead, nothing will.
Whimsical name and decor aside, this cafe serves up seriously good food, service and it deserves to be said again ......
