Went to MyThai on 10/10/2022. Would recommend to my friends, even my newborn baby. I arrived at approximately 6pm and the staff were phenomenal. I was greeted by eager and helpful employees who escorted me and my friends to our table, the one on the middle left closest to the bar. Sitting down at my allocated table, I was mesmerised by the environment I just stepped into, a jam packed restaurant with staff expertly serving customers their food and drinks was an indication of a great night beginning for me and my friends. Sifting through the well made menu, my mind was quickly set on the Pad Thai (with extra chicken instead of the prawns), with my two other friends ordering another Pad Thai and a Laab Gai with extra rice. Our groups order was taken as quickly and efficiently as ordering food from a McDonald’s Machine that actually worked 100% of the time. The employees we communicated with throughout the night were very enjoyable to talk to, especially the guy who was working in the bar. He made my night and most likely my friends nights even better than they already were. We ordered ourselves 3 Lemon Lime Bitters to complement our already arrived food. Taking the first few bites of my Pad Thai was a surreal experience. This being the first time I have ever eaten Pad Thai, I would absolutely recommend this item from the menu. Gotta pad the backs of the chefs on this one. Equally as much as I did, my two other friends also enjoyed the meals they received. Finishing our drinks and our amazing food the wonderful bar tender walked up to us and he offered us desert menu (only offered when the main meal is finished it seems) which I gladly accepted. At the time it seemed plain and simple but for our table we ordered the vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup. The presentation of the desert was nothing but plain and vanilla. 3 scoops of ice cream in a phenomenally sculpted glass cup with a little pot filled to the brim with chocolate syrup. Pouring the chocolate all over the ice cream to the dismay of my friends, we chowed down on the simple dish to end a sophisticated dinner. The total bill for the group was $82, which was well worth the food and the service I had received. Especially when I didn’t have to pay for it. Honestly like I stated previously in the review the experience and the food for me were the selling points, never have I been to a restaurant that had such a welcoming environment to dine in. The night was especially made better with one employee being the male bar tender constantly checking up on us and asking how our night went, which it went phenomenally and as smoothly as a socially awkward person would have wanted it to go. Never have I ever met an employee so passionate and caring for the customer experience. MyThai restaurant located at, 133 Haig Rd, in Auchenflower was one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at and would definitely go back to for the food, but also the employees working there, especially the male bar tender. Thank you MyThai restaurant for a phenomenal night, definitely made a bad day good. Would recommend coming...

We had an absolutely fantastic dining experience at My Thai Auchenflower — easily one of the best Thai meals we've had in Brisbane.
From start to finish, everything about the evening was spot on: warm, friendly service, a relaxed yet inviting atmosphere, and food that completely exceeded expectations.
The food deserves a special mention. While every dish we tried was beautifully cooked and bursting with authentic Thai flavours, two stood out as absolute highlights:
🔸 The Lamb Shank Massaman Curry — this was next level. Fall-off-the-bone tender, rich in flavour, with a perfectly balanced, creamy sauce that had just the right amount of spice and depth. A true showstopper dish that I’d return for alone.
🔸 The Satay Chicken — some of the best we've had anywhere. Perfectly grilled, juicy, and served with a rich, velvety satay sauce that was packed with flavour. It’s simple, but done to perfection — exactly how great Thai food should be.
The rest of the menu was equally impressive. Fresh, vibrant ingredients, traditional flavours handled with care, and beautifully presented plates. Generous portions too, offering fantastic value for money.
Service was flawless throughout — attentive without being intrusive, efficient, and genuinely warm. The team clearly care about their diners' experience, and it shows.
Ambience was relaxed yet polished; the perfect spot for a mid-week dinner, date night or special celebration.
All in all, My Thai Auchenflower is a standout. Exceptional food, service and atmosphere. Already looking forward to coming back — especially for that lamb shank!
Highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic, high-quality Thai cuisine...
Read moreMy friend and I scrolled through the reviews of restaurants on Google Maps and chose this restaurant randomly.
To be honest, the taste of the food here exceeded my expectations. We ordered the Duck in curry and Frying Fish. The gravy in the duck dish is rich but not too sweet; the frying fish is coated in a thin-layered batter, the outside is super crispy and the inside is firm but not oily at all, alongside a sliced green apple salad, which gives the freshness of this dish.
In addition to the tasteful dishes, the staff here are lovely and always check if you, as a customer, have any needs. I love their traditional costume, and obviously, you could see the working atmosphere is vibrant.
A minor advice: if the owner of this business can provide staff with ordering paper and 🖊️ pens or electronic devices. You have over 70 dishes on the menu, it’s a bit difficult for staff to remember all of them at once, not even talking about the situation where some customers distract them by asking a million questions during...
