Such a let down - this is very clearly an Instagram cafe that looks good in content and sadly, doesn’t live up to expectations.
Service was hit and miss - we had 2 staff members that were nice and efficient but there was 1 staff member that was quite rude.
Peach Cafe utilises QR Code ordering which in my opinion is fine, however, if you’re offering a menu with adjustable items — this is quite tricky.
We ordered a peach iced tea and the menu states it can be served still or sparkling. When adding it to your order via the QR code, you are not given the option to choose.
We ordered
Peach Iced tea, Teddy Bear Hot Chocolate, Gnocchi & a ham and cheese toastie.
When making payment, you could add a note, which is where I asked for the iced tea to be sparkling and that we didn’t want eggs with the gnocchi.
When the 3rd staff member put the iced tea down, I asked if it was sparkling as it didn’t look sparkling — she went back to check with the team. The iced tea had a dried citrus garnish on top. When she came back, she said “it’s still” and proceeded to walk off. I called her back and mentioned I’d had wanted it sparkling. She grabbed the tea without saying a word and went back to the kitchen.
A few moments later she came back and rudely and aggressively smacked the glass back onto the table and said nothing and walked away again.
We were a little surprised at the attitude and lack of care. (Also, this isn’t a big deal but the garnish was also no longer in the glass so we’re not really sure what they did with the drink)
Overall, the gnocchi was quite tasty which was a plus. The toastie was quite thin and average , not toasted enough either.
A few other things we noticed was the cafe was quite dirty all around. Tables weren’t wiped, there’s rubbish all over the floor. It felt quite unhygienic and neither of us finished our meals because we kind of got grossed out.
Safe to say it wasn’t the experience we had hoped and hope that this feedback can be taken into consideration...
Read moreWas really looking forward to the visit but ended up feeling disappointed.
As usual, we ordered a soy flat white and a skinny cap. The coffees were great, the kind of coffee we appreciate. Taste was mutual, balanced and offered a hint of bitterness.
Food wise, I grabbed their Loaded Benny Croissant and my partner had their Popcorn Chicken Salad Bowl. I am a big fan of croissant egg bennies and it was one of the reasons why I chose Peach. And it turned out to be such a letdown. It was the worst croissant Benny I have ever had. Despite the look of the dish, being all glamorous and appetizing, the taste did not match at all. My main issue was with the croissant. I don’t know what happened to it. It was dry, and tough. It also tasted old, like it had been sitting on the kitchen counter uncovered for days before it was served. Croissants are supposed to be airy, fluffy and flaky, but the croissant I had reminded me of bread that hadn’t proved properly. Except for the appearance, it did not have any resemblance to a croissant. I’m sorry about the harsh words, but really, that croissant was hardly edible. And according to the menu, their croissants were supposedly baked at the cafe. In comparison, the rest of the dish was good. The hollandaise sauce was creamy, and the eggs were perfectly poached. The pulled pork was tender, juicy and not overly greasy. The kale was fresh and added a hint of freshness. On the other hand, both my partner and I loved the popcorn chicken salad. We both agreed that the popcorn chicken was mind blowing. I really dug the pickled ginger and appreciated the tongue tingling sensation after having it.
The service was great. The staff were friendly and nice. It was getting real busy once we sat down. And it is only a Wednesday morning. I liked the vibe and the interior of the cafe. With everything taken into consideration, I can only give them 3 stars, as awful as the croissant was, the whole experience was generally good. And I’d like to go back again...
Read moreThis cafe is undeniably charming—perfect for those who enjoy sharing aesthetically pleasing spots on Instagram or TikTok. The atmosphere is thoughtful with a beautiful layout, including three cozy seating areas and a lovely selection of pottery available for purchase.
While the ambiance is inviting, we found the food to be underwhelming, especially given the price point. On weekends, a 10% surcharge is added, which is understandable, but there’s also an additional service fee. It raises the question of whether menu pricing should already reflect the cost of wages, produce, and service.
One menu item that stood out—though not in a positive way—was the eggs Benedict, which is only served with deep-fried prawns. There are no alternative options, and substituting with bacon incurs an additional $6 fee. It felt a bit limiting, particularly since not everyone enjoys seafood for breakfast. Furthermore, the bacon served with my choice of dish (Chilli scramble) was eye bacon rather than full rashers, and the dish was heavily salted, which overpowered the flavours—especially with the already “crisped” bacon.
Another dish, the “chicken and waffle,” was unexpected. Rather than a traditional waffle, it featured a dry croissant pressed into a waffle shape, paired with equally dry fried chicken. While the concept is creative, the execution fell short, especially for a café that presents itself strongly on social media.
The drinks were satisfactory, but we believe a cafe should shine most in its food and beverage offerings, not just its aesthetic.
Additionally, it was disappointing to find that around eight items were sold out during our visit. If you’re hoping to try popular menu items you’ve seen online, we’d recommend visiting earlier in the weekend or calling ahead.
Overall, the concept and visual appeal of the cafe are delightful, but we found the food experience lacking, which makes it unlikely...
