Thai on Earth — Restaurant in Brisbane City

The food here wasn't bad...but not great - and certainly not "the best Thai in Brisbane", as some have said. I had the Pad Thai, which is usually a good yardstick to judge a Thai Restaurant - the right balance of flavours and textures requires skill, knowledge of ingredients and attention to detail...whereas many curries and other dishes are more forgiving and can more easily hide a shortcoming in these areas.

The staff were friendly, portions were generous and overall it was reasonable value for money - though it wasn't good enough that I'd go out of my way to eat there again. The location and exterior is a little dingy, though the interior was nice enough - but if you're taking someone out and looking to make a good impression, it might not be...

The food is really good! Fresh, tender meat, very tasty, lots of veggies in the dishes we ate. It's not really an "atmosphere" type place - rather dingy and in need of a refurb. But we were not here for the atmosphere... We heard about the food so gave it a bash. The food is SO worth it! Dine-in appears to be rare with most orders being takeaway. And trust me, those orders were flying out the door! Thank you to the very friendly gentleman taking our order, and to the staff (we could watch them cooking from our table) who were chattering away and smiling a lot. We had the Massaman Beef, Roti, Ginger & Shallot Chicken, and...

We just moved into the neighbourhood and figured we would get takeaway for dinner. Thai seemed like a good option so we ordered from Thai on Earth. It exceeded all expectations. Great food.

Entrees: money bags, dumplings and spring rolls were all amazing

Mains: beef massaman curry was fresh with a mild sweetness, chicken Pad Thai was flavoursome with a great texture, and the pork fried rice was so delicious that we regret using it with our curry instead of eating it on its own!
